  1. As Smith goes the Oilers go. Just hope he can keep it up. Teams are running goalies hard this year.

  2. Woodcroft was also a huge piece that got the entire team to buy in and has transformed the way we play as a team

  3. In the past it took one bad goal to make the Oilers unravel and I'm a bit concerned about how they will react when the offense cools down because of course it will. I'm looking forward to a gritty game like I've seen between the stars and flames to see how the Oilers respond to a genuine test because they beat themselves in game 1

  4. Respect for your comments. Not easy for a Flames fan to sit down, take the time and post a video like this. Especially about the Oilers. Truth is, I think deep down Oiler fans are hoping Dallas takes out Calgary because of match ups. Even though Dallas has gotten under the Oilers skin over the years, Dallas is a better match for the Oilers. There's a switch that the Flames just turn on when it comes to the Oilers. The Flames will climb every mountain on the planet to try and beat the Oilers. And we're not seeing the Flames climb those mountains right now with Dallas. The Flames are getting dangerously close to the mental struggles of playoff hockey. Doing everything they can but can't score and can't close. Even Evander Kane scored 5 X's more goals than the entire Flames team prior to the start of game 3 between Dallas and the Flames. My point is Dallas is starting to inflict doubt in the Flames minds. The Flames need to win game 4 or suffice it to say Dallas will have the Flames right where they want them – mentally. And that's not a good place to be in the playoffs. Frankly, I thought the Flames would sweep Dallas as they were an unstoppable ball of fire the entire season. I guarantee you Dallas was more nervous than a long tailed cat in a room full of rocking chairs before the series started. Now, that has all changed. Playoff hockey is a different breed, a different brand of hockey, a different kind of thirst. You never know who's going to be able to walk a hundred miles in the desert without a drink of water to survive the journey. My point is every team gets physically beat up so badly in the playoffs it's the mental game, the mental adrenaline that takes over and wins hockey games. I knew the Oilers would be to hot to handle for the Kings. So far this is proving to be true. But personally, I don't want to see the Battle of Alberta, because I know that "win at all costs" mountain climbing switch will turn on for the Flames and the Oilers will have to find another gear to handle the red hot Flames.

  5. Yamamoto , Hymann , Kane , Puljujarvi , McLeod , RNH all the depth guys Edmonton has rolling

  6. Even though Edmonton’s playing LA, that doesn’t mean anything. Any team can beat any team if they have confidence, especially in the playoffs

  7. You mentioned nugent hopkins, mike smith, darnell nurse, cody ceci but why not hyman?

  8. I’ve been feeling this all this year tbh. Even through the losing streaks I felt it. I’m really hoping we go far for Ben, kids been through so much and it would make his life a lot better to see a cup handed to his fav team

  9. Lmao bro this guy just casually comes back after not uploading a video 7 months ago glad ur back

  10. can I just say, as a Scottish 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 Oiler, thanks to where my aunt chose to live when she emigrated 😂 I appreciate 100% you putting aside the rivalry to speak some truth about this team.

also, I have one jersey for each of the other Canadian 🇨🇦 teams in case one of them brings Stanley home before the Oilers do. I think a Canadian team doing the business for Stanley is bigger than all of our teams rivalries if it ever came to it.

even if it meant we go out, I want a Battle of Alberta next round! just means the Flames need to start turning up against the Stars 😂

  11. Kane has been a beast, brought some swagger , Dave Manson has the defence playing both ends of the rink like he did and with an edge , I wouldn’t want to play Edmonton

  12. Im an Oiler fan. Its just the Kings. So im not getting my hopes up. We have been playing very well. The exciting thing is that we are finding ways to win. Our defenseman is getting better and better. I do think our defense is underated.
Broberg and Niemelinen are a big hope for our future defense.

    Loving yamamoto.

    Denver Game 3
They let the wrong guy blow the roof off the place and take over the series.

What happened last night? Exact. Same. Thing.

Game 4 tomorrow is the most important game this franchise has faced since June 7, 2004.

  14. People forget the Oilers series with the Avalanche this season were all neck and neck and they even won one.

  15. Props for telling it like it is. Even though oiler and flames are big time rivals, we're all Albertans at the end of the day.

  16. It is the best oilers team in a very long time. Having said that they don't deal with a lot of pressure well. Sit back in your defensive zone and try to box them out and they will pick you to pieces. Jump on them constant and they will make mistakes a plenty and give up odd man rushes. At the end of the day the goaltending on the bad rushes they give up and the demeanor of the defending team in the d zone will determine thier W/L ratio.

  17. Wow a Calgary fan. That really knows what he's talking about when it comes to the Oilers. I'm impressed and you were modest within your presentation. I didn't sense any disdain for the Oilers.

  18. The way the Oilers played in game 2,3,7 is good enough to win the cup. The Oilers were more dominant than Calgary in round 1.

  19. I wish I had met someone from the oilers crew so we could come up with some plan of okay, it is alright for example to accommodate the flames for a little bit and so on..

But right now it feels more of a “whose side are you on? Either this or that side kind of a thing”

    Social pressure eh?
