Pas une citation encourageante de Treliving. On dirait que Darryl n’a aucun intérêt pour les meilleurs enfants de la ferme et lit comme s’ils nous préparaient pour un Walker Duehr

A bunch of word salad. « Now I don’t mean dominance like statistics »..yeah who cares about production. We need more dominance in the form of TRUCULENCE per 60.

To be fair, Duehr came in last year and did a very good job in the role he played.
Im not sure we need scoring talent brought up – we have that. We need something to spark Mang and Hubs and Kadri and Dube and Lindy. We need a passer, or a checker, or someone who can do something nifty to set someone up.
Duehr isnt that person, but hes very good in his role, which in the A is middle 6 2 way play.

seems pretty straightforward to me, a top line player in the AHL is not necessarily going to be able to step in as a top line player in the NHL. phillips is playing incredibly well *as a top line player*, but they if they don’t have that kind of role available for him on the team, why would anyone expect him to be successful coming into a bottom-six shutdown role?
you can read this quote as word salad if you want, but to me it sounds like treliving is being thoughtful about how to give guys the best opportunities to be successful in the show. whether or not this is the right approach can be debated, sure, but it isn’t nonsense.

Mentioned checking role twice, allergic to scorers he is
