Il explique comment l’équipe doit continuer à jouer dans cette situation, même si cela aurait dû être une pénalité. Après cela, il décompose le but 6 contre 5 et explique comment les Penguins ont ENFIN réussi à en marquer un. Il regarde à quel point ils ont été patients avec ce but pour obtenir le point avant de regarder certains des points négatifs, qui impliquaient à quel point Tristan Jarry était perdu sur le deuxième but. I get that Jeff Carter isn't what he once was, and that he struggles at times, but you have to give him credit for the things he does right. He's the Pens best guy in the faceoffs, he brings a strong physical presence, and can make some good plays in the offensive zone. Not to mention the leadership that he provides as well. I don't think he should make as much as he does, but he's not that bad.

Terrible by the officials in OT. Bryan Rust did put himself in a vulnerable spot, but come on he was legit cross checked right in the back and head first into the boards. Rust is lucky he wasn't seriously injured on that play. Also if anyone saw, The Canes had too many men on the ice as well. A fourth guy hopped over the boards and was on the ice for about 5-7 seconds prior to the 2 on 0, then hops back over.
The Pens "power play" is 0 for 14 in the last six games. Part of it is that they have zero grit, zero toughness, zero willingness to get dirty and pick up the garbage goals. All opposing teams have to do is focus on cutting off the passing lanes…no one's going to push inside to force them to play man defense. The Pens "top power play unit" is content to pass the puck around until they get a clear shot, usually by Geno.
It's as if they are so unaware of how screens work that they play defense that way too, and screen their own goalies, unintentionally.
Sully needs to make them skate laps, in practice, say 10 top speed laps, every time they drop pass the damn puck immediately after crossing the blue line into the zone. That…habit, which seems to have become their favorite zone entry move, kills their momentum every time they enter the zone, especially when the opponents know it's going to happen and jump the puck.
