Whether it is or not, the Canucks should operate as though it is. This is about winning the Cup one day, not about trying to make the playoffs which probably won’t happen anyway.
Definitely a shame, time for Marty to shine and really show his true colours as a potential full time 2nd NHL goalie. I thought they may give silovs a chance. Shame we missed out on picking up Cal Peterson off waivers the other day.
Is the 6 weeks what you expected? And is the Canucks season done?
I think we need to make a trade for a veteran back up goalie.

The injury did not look good last night but it was very hard to tell how severe it may have been. I still think they are okay and have to work through this. 😀
No hurries for Demko to play because no point rushing any injuries especially if you're demko/a goalie.. It isn't like the canucks are consistent enough in their play to give a good run for the playoffs. So they should make sure demko takes his time to fully recover before thinking about letting him play.
Martin was just proving he is a worthy back up, and now he is thrown right into the fire as number one. His back up will be in a similarly pressure packed roll. All of this when the team has been struggling to find their defensive game. This does not bode well for the team based on how teams usually do in this situation. If the team can rise above this huge adverse condition the sky is the limit for them. They got their work cut out for them.
I hope they start selling players now. Let's stop kidding ourselves with playoff hopes by going out and acquiring a goalie by expense of another draft pick.
Honestly, I was rooting for these guys so hard for the past couple years, believing in their playoff form. But into the 3rd season now post run, it's time to realize it won't come together not to mention being strapped down to Larsons 7.26 mil a year for 5 more seasons. Blow it up and build from the ground up

They will be fine, they were playing better in fromt of Martin anyways! This should help Thatcher in the long run! He was a little off. They signed Delio just for this reason!God bless!

Depending on how the next 10 or so games go, we should just roster accordingly to get a crack at Bedard. Not a fan of tanking but this is the year to cut our losses early and go for a top 3 pick. Our franchise needs it…
