At this point in time, Matthew has almost played as many games as his dad did through his first 7 seasons. Above are each of their stats through just over 450 games.
Keith is an overlooked, power forward star of the 90s. A guy who everyone hated to play against but would love to have on their team because of his skill and toughness. I always thought of him as a poor man’s Shanahan, but he really wasn’t that far off from him.
His numbers are really inline with his son’s which is a little spooky. I was starting to think that Matthew was a younger, bigger Marchand but that isn’t the case. He is his father in the modern age which is pretty cool.
Obviously there are differences that anyone can point out, however they are very similar. Especially because Keith bounced around a lot… and I believe Matthew will too.
