Good moves but Sergachev was overpaid by about 1mil per year. Gonna take 5 years for that deal to make sense. Sergachev is good offensively but defensively he makes way too many mistakes in his own zone.
Lightning also signed Cernak. They also need to trade Killorn.

McDonaugh scored more goals for the opposition because of piss poor defensive play than he did while on offense. Good riddance for the salary cap free up . Chances were very,very good for the other team to score because he didn't remember to cover anybody in front of VASSY.
All depends on the cap the next few years. If it really goes up to what a lot are predicting, these may all be deals in 3 seasons. Sergi is the biggest worry. To me he was brilliant until his bridge. He got lazy at times. Hopefully even more money does not make him worse. When he is on, he is a top d lineman. Cernak is if one of those blocks end his career. He is a very solid defensive d lineman. Little high, but could be a bargain in a few seasons.
Cernak may not be that offensively gifted, but in my opinion he’s a top 10 defensive defenseman in the league
These contracts will age pretty well. Especially as the cap increases pretty dramatically over the next 3-4 years.
And don't get it twisted…with Bergeron aging out, Cirelli is gonna start getting Selkie votes really soon.
