Who knows what the score could be if Skinner wasn't the starter for this game. Skinner can only do so much, the defence needs to defend better and give Skinner some help. Skinner was absolutely incredible tonight.
McDavid, Draisaitl, Hyman, Nugent-Hopkins and Skinner can only do so much for the team, the defence and bottom six players need to step up and start contributing more to games.
This game is the perfect example as to why they desperately need to upgrade their blue line, the defence didn't defend well enough and as a result Skinner got absolutely shelled. So glad we have Skinner! I believe that Skinner deserved to win given just how much he was bailing out the team this game.
As difficult to play against as soft-serve ice cream. They played like an exhausted rabbit being hunted by dogs. Forwards & defense gave up the puck (19 gva – that were recorded) and their positioning was an open invitation for exploitation. The PK was “mindboggling” (Rob Brown – CHED radio). Woodcroft, please stop making excuses for this team. … Oh, and I see that Broberg is learning Nurse’s synchronized swimming moves – that’s going to help.
Spanked. Lol. Dria giveaway for a goal against, McD cheats for Offence and it's 2nd goal. Brutal D all around from to many players. To many brain cramps.. the usual stuff for this year so far. Skinner has been excellent. So there's that.
Overpowered. Most skaters had moments that were good and bad. JP went down the line tonight. Just couldn’t make things happen when needed. Holloway went up the line and was on par with Nuge when on his line. Nurse and Broberg each had a nice moment where they shut someone down extravagantly. Skinner is future.

Skinner was great in a losing cause. What’s with Ceci and Nurse of late, both playing like 💩. Woodcroft running out of options and pulled Jesse off the top line in place of Yamo but both failed to get’r done. Holloway was looking good and should be given a chance with Draisaitl and McDavid. Washington played a smart game and stayed out of the penalty box. Definitely missing some of our big guns tonight.
It started on 2-1 oilers skinner was great every thing was great they looked like they would close it up that way or with a empty net… but again out d let skinner down Ceci blinded skinner by a snow shower, never know if he could have stopped it…
Problem is you have zero trade value in 3rd and 4th line. JP hasn't shown he can produce. They have to trade a big name and shake this team up. I continue to ask why you need 3 offensive minded D men. Get rid of 2 of them for big shutdown guys. This team has serious problems and Holland can't do much because of the stupid contracts he handed out.

Hard game to watch. Shame skinner plays amazing and Holloway looked really good. Idk Broburg looks like a really good D man compared to the others😅.
