1. Guerin is navigating through cap hell he inherited from Fletcher (Parise/Suter contracts)
WHY DONT PEOPLE UNDERSTAND THE BUYOUTS HAVE NOTHING TO DO WITH CURRENT CAP ISSUES?……Anyway, I didn't like Spurgeon or Goligoski extensions.

  2. Absolutely. He’s gearing up to have this team take off in 3 years with cheap young talent. Love it

  3. Is Monday poll day each week? Also I usually miss the announcements, could you post a reminder on YouTube

  4. I’m definitely in the 92%. Guerin has done an outstanding job since taking over. He started with Zucker, getting Addison and Pittsburgh’s #1 pick. He has cleaned out the locker room and started a culture of Minnesota being a destination for players. No BS guy and not afraid to make a move. Adding Bracket and letting him run with the draft was a great move. We have stock piled up talent and now have a top 5 pipeline. The players now drafted will be ready the same time the cap restrictions leave the books. A+ so far in my book!

  5. He screwed up the whole chemistry at the end of last season. Now he's just traded the goalie for a sieve. Unless he's in rebuild mold, he's a complete ass

  6. As long as the Wild manage to hold onto Judd Bracket, the team's future is bright due to draft picks. It is going to soar in 3 years when the buyouts drop to small amounts with all this young talent. Very happy to have Bill Gurin running the team and with his ability to properly delegate to those that should be empowered.

  7. In BG we trust, in JB BG trusts; Each draft they've had has been fantastic, you could honestly say that every single first and second they've had will not only make the roster but be exteremely effective. The D prospects may be the best in the league, Wallstedt? nothing needs to be said, and the forward group with the additions of Ohgren, Yurov and Haight, looks as good as any.
If the team struggles this year, it could be a blessing, another top-10 pick could jettison them back into contention by the time the Cap-crunch is over.

  8. On paper it's looking like Brackett will save BG's job. There have been so many red flags with Guerin that he will not be a good GM. After each gaffe I think, 'he has to learn from that,' but it doesn't seem as though he does. He hasn't gotten value back in any trade to date, he has a quick fuse and reacts to quickly. All red flags in my book. But like I said the way it's looking on paper Brackett and Deano will save him for awhile.

  9. He’s done a great job. Praise and Sutter we’re a cancer in the locker room. No one likes to have cancer removed, but it’s necessary!

  10. Like you said we are banking on draft picks and development. I think Guerin should of got more for Cam but let his ego get in the way. As for defense/ Fiala. I am not sure Fiala has a complete game that you want to put 7+mill into. If he was a two way guy then I would be more upset. When playoffs come and if he not scorer doesn’t add much value and he wasn’t a killer PP player either. I think we are preparing to turnover a lot of the defense. Dumba will most likely be gone next year if not during this season. If you look at our prospect most of the top 10 are on defense.

  11. Guirin has done pretty well with the crap show inheritance of Fletcher crap and Fenton attempts to reproduce Fletchers model

  12. Nah not after I heard he rush to trade Kevin Fiala. He didn't wait to see if other teams have better offer for Kevin Fiala.👎

  13. Bill Guerin overpaid Spurgeon with an All-Star albatross contract for a player who is really a second pair quality defenseman. He gave a way 2nd and 3rd round picks at the deadline for no improvement. Fleury and Talbot is a wash, and Nicolas Deslauriers is not worth a 3rd round pick. I said at the time that he really doesn't have a line to play on in Minnesota, and he ended up being benched in the playoffs.

The Wild has bottom five horrible special teams, but Guerin retains all the coaches. Guerin didn't get enough in the Fiala trade, and Guerin thinks he is a genius by not acquiring a top six center for either of the first two lines. Hopefully, the Wild will have young talent to fill some of the holes, but the Wild are stuck in no mans land in the mid section of the draft – just like they were with Chuck "bad trade" Fletcher. Guerin touts the Wild's point total, but he refuses to admit that the team was a pretender and had another one and done playoffs series – just like the old regime. Frankly, the Wild were not even close to the Blues, Avs, and Flames is talent, and that was just in the West. The Blues and Flames have had a huge shake up though, so we will see if the Wild can play well enough to make the playoffs.

I get what Guerin is trying to do, and those bad contracts will haunt the team for years, as I said they would before the ink was dry on them, but I have not seen much so far that makes this GM much better than the last few.

  14. The Wild waive 2018 3rd round selection Alexander Khovanov. All of that "deep depth in the minors" talk is coming up rather empty.
