    *GOOD*

    – End of the day despite certain circumstances which happened the game before Habs take 3/4 on the road. They didn’t play well but doesn’t really matter when you win.

    – Going to be watching that Suzuki to Caufield connection for a very very long time.

    – Craig Button. Literally. Idk what he was on before this game but it was thoroughly entertaining. Some highlights, analyzing Olympic swimming, College Football, some puck over glass song, or going absolutely LIVID at somebody handing their stick to somebody else, or absolutely randomly ROASTING Dvorak throughout the game. (Yes not much happened this game)

    – Habs took their chances. Usually in previous seasons Habs would need 5000 shots just to take one.

    – Yeah wasn’t spectacular but Anderson was noticeable (and scored which makes you noticeable). Honestly he’s looking better.

    – Guhle stud.

    – Allen great.

    – Kovacevic first NHL goal.

    *BAD*

    – Habs didn’t play good. In fact, the defensive coverage was utterly terrible all night. Not just on one or two players but the entire defensive core was really bad. If Savard is out for a while this is only going to become worse.

    – Dadonov tries out there but dear god no idea how he scored 20 last year. Obvious answer he played with Better players but I still have zero clue.

    – Matheson not as bad as gamethread makes him out to be right now but not as good as you need him to be given those minutes. Really weak away from the puck.

    – Edmundsun has been really bad since coming back from injury.

    – Pezzetta I have no idea what he does.

    – Ok Armia time for your 1/25 game masterclass. Anytime now!!!

    – It’s not really bad but Wright scoring. Literally most predictable Habs thing to happen.

Wright was invisible after the first period

  3. CartiNYeezy2

Can we stop acting like Andy isn’t an essential player on this team??

  4. Non-Vanilla_Zilla

They don’t ask how, they ask how many.

5 out of 8 points in Western Canada, I’ll fuckin take it.

  5. Baikken

CC goal. Suzuki, Slaf and Dach points.

    Love to see it.

  6. ObverseNebula

We all had the same feeling going into the third, don’t lie

I liked what I saw from Wright tbh, lots of chances around the net. I love Slaf and think there’s a solid chance he’s something special but he can also become a 20-40-60 winger (not that that’s bad) with Wright becoming a bonafide 1C. Will be genuinely interesting to follow both their careers.

Great game, everyone tried to stay as composed as possible while being outshot and when we did shoot it was worth it.. I gotta say though, Craig Button’s commentary ruined the English broadcast on TSN. Only chimes in to critique and nothing valuable to contribute all game

  10. Was anyone else offput by Craig Button randomly going on what sounded like drunken rants about our forwards giving Guhle the wrong handed stick while we were literally killing a penalty and criticizing Dvorak every time the play ended?

  11. CartiNYeezy2

Congrats to Shane on his first goal. Hope he has a great career, but hope Slaf does better 😁😁

  12. MileEnd76

Yesterday seemed bad, but 3 out of 4 points out of a back to back in the West : I’ll take this result any day.

  13. Successful western road trip:

    – 5 out of 8 points
    – Big line contributing every game
    – Jake the Snake finding some rhythm
    – Learning hard lesson for future games
    – Secondary scoring showing some life

Glad I watched tonight’s game even after seeing that collapse last night in person.

  14. HabsChronicles

Slaf got a point! Honestly, I’m happy for Wright. Sucks that it had to be us lol but welp, it is what it is.

  15. Habs_Apostle

Nice bounce back game. Les Boys showed they could close it out (even if it was with a little help from Allen).

    Got the patented Nick-Cole goal.

Good for Wright for getting his first goal against the Habs. It couldn’t have been more fitting. One he’ll always remember I’m sure.

Button is funny. I was entertained. That is all.

    Florida lost!

    Go Habs Go!!!!

  16. 24cupsandcounting

Panthers lost tonight. I’m hoping they can tank on our behalf while we sneak into the playoffs.

Nice to have some finish on the team! If only we had given this level of goal support to Carey in his prime

  17. ForumsGhost

Climbing, are we tied with Florida?

  18. lunag1234

it looked like rem mouthed “finally” after he scored lmao

  19. lyme6483

Good road trip 2-1-1, especially considering the penalty fest of Edmonton. Let’s take some games at home now!!! Probably in the minority, and in the central time zone so it’s not as late, but I like these west coast games later in the night. Enjoy the win everyone, especially after last night!

  20. Addictedto_zzzzs

Pretty obvious that Craig Button is in love with Guhle after that broadcast.

  21. Farnzy11

Petition to have Craig Button on every Habs game

    Do it you cowards

  22. sean_psc

All in all, the western road trip went pretty well (from a non-tank perspective). 5 of 8 points, and they were competitive in all four games (even if the Vancouver game is hard to look at as anything but an embarrassment). Good mental recovery within 24 hours, and in the face of our forward personnel becoming rather depleted by injury at this point.

All the key young forwards got points in this game, always nice. Glad that Slafkovsky got one, since you know it would have been a narrative if he hadn’t while Wright scored (and generally looked really good).

Suzuki remains a wizard with the puck on his stick.

  23. Extreme-Leather7748

How should I feel about our #1 D being a 20 year old rookie? Genuinely confused

  24. Baikken

Having another game less than 24 hours after the collapse and winning is probably the best possible scenario. No time for the team or media stew and create a shitstorm.
