After tonight, defense needs serious work. Our goalies aren’t great, but when the D leaves Jones out to dry in 3 of the Habs’ 4 goals, something needs to be done.

Why did you put fans in quotations here? Am I not a real fan if I think goaltending is a bigger issue than the defense?

I’ve said it before, I’ll say it again. We can put 80% of the league’s goaltending in net for the Kraken… we would still get the same results. There is a defensive problem. It is exacerbated on the PK, but it spans beyond that and is less evident on 5v5 play. The goaltending might change a 1 goal game, IMO.
These games are a result of bad systems, bad execution, and bad decision making.
Should Jones and Grubauer make one or _maybe_ two more saves per game? Absolutely. Goal 5 last game comes to mind against Grubauer. The goal from the point comes to mind tonight against Jones.
It is so easy to blame goaltending. But if it’s a shared problem going back 1.5 years, across 3-4 goalies… maybe we should be looking at the bigger picture.
