Ah 11.5 million cap hit plus a NMC. Yeah, someone been bribing the cap fairy again? Even if we traded Nurse we'd have to include others just to make the money work and that doesn't solve the problem. The Sharks have 29K of Cap LEFT. They CAN'T retain. From what I see that NMC is a FULL one so Karlsson would have to waive and if he doesn't, he doesn't move. Don't get me wrong I'd love him to play here BUT Math makes it pretty much impossible. I mean Cale Makar is over 2 million CHEAPER.
Woodcroft is coaching some Tippett hockey right now. Load up the top line and play the hell out of them. That’s certainly a good way to devalue the rest of the team and give ‘em no reason to play hard for you when they do get on the ice.
Last night’s game showed us just how unmotivated they were to play. And the top guys looked burnt out.
I prey they do not do this. They need grit and toughness, not a bloated contract attached to a player on the down side of his career.
Terrible idea which reeks of desperation. He hasn't played a full season since 2015-2016 and routinely misses 20+ games due to injury. We don't need another injury prone d-man.
A big NO to Karlsson. Manson maybe has Barruie playing a bit better on D but he still gets shredded by anybody but a 4th liner, and they taught him many lessons last night as well. And our team D and Dmen are all worse than last year, so I wouldn't be too excitied about Manson's ability to change anybody around. Karlsson is soft as butter too; we have lots of that already on the blueline and beyond. We can't afford the cap hit, so thank goodness for that.
dont know how they could fit him under cap though. Unless they trade nurse, mcdavid or Draisial and I dont think any of these trades would go over with fans well
