I’m not sure how Karlsson would work? His contract is worse than Nurse’. I mean do we want him? Sure, almost any one is an upgrade on this rosters D. That’s how ugly it is. I’ve watched so many games night in and night out that this Dcore plays like trash, Hollands watching the same games. 100% he does something. I’m guessing 1-2 significant back end moves w another added for depth.
Hi Patrick…As I have said a few times I will clearly state I have no definitive knowledge on most non Oiler players. What I believe we lack is cap space and commodities to offer teams to get what we need. Even my wife laughs at trades that seemingly give us what we want but shaft the other team. We both know that to get quality that will definitively help us will cost us. So were left with plan B….what can we get that is cheap while offering either the future or someone who is willing to take a chance on an underachiever praying it pays off. We need a D that offers toughness, and reliability, a veteran at a low cost or give up as stated to make it happen a young prospect. Secondly, we need a deterrent, who relishes his role, a proverbial 13th forward. Not even sure if Jacob Chyc…..has truly what we need, given the cost we will pay….cheers

What player could they trade to get a top 4 d man and make cap space at the same time? Yamo and pool party are the only 2 that seem to fit. Can't see any other teams placing allot of value on either player. Which makes it expensive if they are asked to retain salary on what's coming back. Most likely a good prospect or high Draft Pick would need to go as well.
Nurse has not been playing to his salary while coughing up the puck. Bouchard is young and will make mistakes. The team needs a top 4 defenseman as well as some toughness in front of Skinner. Rusty’s shot blocking is dearly missed. Great Hyman back for the next game. Keep the vids rolling .
Mentioned it in Tyson's stream on this but Karlsson is over an 11 mllion cap hit. I mean Cale Makar is over 2 million cheaper. The only way to afford him would be to trade Nurse AND a 3 million dollar asset which doesn't solve the problem. He also has a FULL NMC which means he'd have to waive to even entertain moving from SJ. Classic in October, great. Glad to hear the Zach attack will be back. Great quick take as always. A Top4 seems impt… but in reality some questions on GM- re a lot of positions. Owner pd out Lucic, then Neil, then he dumped Smith at $2m to get Campbell at $5m.. pd out Keith & Russell to then pay Kulak/Murray, pd Yama/Foeg/Pulju $10m.. & a dozen Fwds that haven't worked out; Turris $3m, Kassian $16m.. Its getting harder to see evidence that he has the skill or work to actually make the supporting cast better -lot of weak positions? Kane was a gamble – glad it worked but mostly luck? sorry to be concerned of the scouts/GM activities …
