@Red Wings de Détroit

1. I had hoped that Chairot would be signed by the Wings. For me the Wings biggest weakness was that the Wings didn't have many (if any) players that were difficult to play against. Chairot is tough to play against. He will play on the top pair and doesn't need to score a ton of points.

  2. Going to be interesting moving forward.
    Feels like a trade is imminent: Bertuzzi, Zadina, Suter seem at risk potentially. Feels like Smith is going to struggle to find a spot on this team as constructed, same with Berggren.

  3. With Chicago selling everybody and everyone that moves, you cannot tank to beat that. They are getting that #1 pick.

  4. I'm sure the Red Wings management put a lot of thought into any player they signed for four years. That team includes Lidstrom. Sorry but you can have your advanced stats. These guys know better.

  5. don't sleep on Chiarot that dude is one of those "goalie's best friend" types of d-men he is a grinder and he is very active and smart skater who is not afraid to check somebody into next week. i think he is paired with Seider to start the season.

  6. like I mentioned 2 days ago miracles do happen but dam didn’t think it would work this good thank you god and thank you Steve Yzerman 🤷‍♂️🤔👍this team just jumped up to a threat in this conference yrs ahead of schedule bet on it baby 🤔🤷‍♂️👍 LGRW 👍

  7. If we get career years out of everyone under contract and we stay completely healthy I really believe we can win at least 1 or 2 more games this yr.

  8. Feels like y’all don’t really look at anything but some Twitter posts. Chariot had his highest point total of his career last year between MTL and FLA yet you said his production fell off a cliff. Which also, he’s not known for being a point producer but still a head scratcher on what you said. Go look at what defenseman who chew up 20+ mins a night make. That’s what he’s here for, gotta do a little more research.

  9. It's just as much fun watching Stevie now as it was during his playing days!

  10. An A for effort. Hopefully it translates to a competitive team and meaningful games in March and April.

  11. i called 2 out of the three for our targets go back to your old videos i made a list of players…

  12. People had the same complaints about Chelios when the Wings signed him. We know how that worked out….

  13. Pull up Chiarot's actual stats, not those whack JFresh 'analytics'. He's a 20-25 minute per game physical defensive defenseman. AND he had his best production last year. Other than that, you guys ball.

  14. The Atlantic is going to be tough next year, so I don’t think we will make the playoffs, but could definitely be close. I honestly think that these were the right moves to make, cause we have seen so many teams in rebuild hell for years, either because the young guys get used to a losing culture (9-2 loss to AZ, I’m looking at you) or the development of the young guys are stifled.

  15. Chairot, Maata and probably Edvidsson. It will be fun to see who gets what spot.

  16. I mean this with no intended sarcasm, but in regards to the Chiarot deal, would you have been happier with us keeping staal and/or ddk? I only ask because I don't love the entire deal either, but I think he's valued highly by other gms, considering Marc picked up another deal. Veteran d-man are highly valued so if we need to I believe he can be dealt. Also cap space isn't an issue at the moment. I agree I don't love the terms of the deal and I truly do despise the phrase 'Trust the Yzerplan', though I do have the utmost trust in the man, that phrase is cultish. Idk In a vacuum I really don't like the whole deal, but with everything else I think it's obvious those blowouts really did bother Steve and he used FA to make his team much more competitive.

  17. Wish we traded for Radko Gudas instead of signing Chairot. At $2.5M cap hit, the guy is a raw animal. Giving Stevie benefit of the doubt. Maybe Chariot will be packaged at deadline with some salary retained.
