Just thought I’d compare some of the defencemen from the other post. I know analytics don’t show everything but I thought it was interesting. Yes he has struggled early but so has the rest of the team. I think he is the least of the oilers worries

What analytics show is that most fans have no clue how to analyse defensemen (myself included). Nurse makes so many things look simple and easy, the few mistakes he makes are unnecessarily highlighted. He’s far from a perfect defender, but he can handle playing nearly half the game all year at a pretty high level.
I’m glad he’s on the Oilers. They’d be in a much worse spot without him.
