Before I get flamed in the comments, I 100% know GAA is not indicative solely around a goalie’s performance.
But have to admit it’s funny (and also nice to see them both finding success).

This season is going to be a long one if we keep getting post after post about players and coaches that aren’t here anymore. Are we r/nationals now?
Anyway, I don’t think they would be nearly doing as well if they stayed here. 1, the defense isn’t as good. 2, I think VV needed to be in a position where it was clear he was the starter and Sammy needed to be a position where it was clear he’d be a backup. The ping ponging back and forth for years was hurting their development. Not saying the Caps were wrong for doing it as neither of them really pulled ahead, but it is good they went somewhere else.

We’ve been over this. All teams are better off it seems. Those two would be absolutely floundering with the way our defense has given high danger looks this year.
