I think this is simply just different pressures on their individual jobs. Fletch knows he’s on the hot seat and, of course, has to say that his team now could push for the playoffs. Torts is new and know he has, at least, a few years of leash.

It’s amazing the relief I think we’re all going to o feel when this happens. I don’t have the energy to even think about the next guy being “worse”, at this point we need anything else. It’s hard to imaging something going worse than things have been going already.

To sum up Fletcher as simply as humanly possible, his greatest issue as a GM is that he cannot in any capacity plan for the future, despite every single fucking decision he makes on the job having long term consequences for the organization.
Even if it’s just a Briere promotion that gets him out, I could not be more excited to get this guy out of the GM position
