It’s good to beat a weak team at the end of a 14 game road trip. It’s bad that the Oilers still sometimes look like a gong-show in their own end of the ice. Even a lousy, exhausted team got break-aways and chances off of give-aways. … The next 2 games against the Wild mean a hundred times more than this one did. … It was great to have secondary scoring tonight – but especially if it continues against a real challenge of an opponent like the Wild.
Gordie Howe Hat Trick! I think we got a pretty good return for Samorukov. 😀 The boys will have to keep up this kind of effective play against the dreaded Minnesota Wild.
Oilers now 3 games > .500, and thx to CGY beating MINN, move back into Top8 for now – so impressive. Yes need to split up Dria/McD & have 4 lines — then work on teaching the guys how to stop the errors/reduce goals against.
Great game good job on the rundown Patrick Still to leaky in the Dzone the Yotes had way to many breakaways, passes through the seem with ease at times but the Yotes literally missed the net on every grade A they had
Want your thoughts on this Patrick we’ve seen this happen a couple times in the last couple weeks once against Vegas and tonight, Schmaltz and I believe it was Marchessault smash their sticks on the crossbar right by Skinners head out of frustration, now I don’t care if you want to do that to your own goalie but when you do it to the opposing goalie it has to be 2 mins for unsportsmanlike conduct it’s extremely dangerous

Fun to watch but not fun for the coyotes. Jesse played well on the third line with Holloway and Hamblin, I’d like to see that line more.
