Is that before or after Gregory called his daddy to make sure the refs put their whistles away?

Sometimes I think we bring bad luck on ourselves. It’s so easy to blame reffing, but you make your own luck on the ice most of the time

The definition of narcissism and thinking outcome over process.
If we ever become really fucking good again, I hope to God we aren’t as idiotic as some of these Canucks players. Chara implied it wasn’t everyone in his comment. You know the Sedins weren’t doing this shit.

Bruh, I wonder who exactly was doing this LOL

We will never live down this embarrassment. Fold the franchise.

That’s messed up if true. Like, dudes. You haven’t won until you’ve won. It’s good to be confident but arrogance will curse you.

They only won because Brettman paid the refs off. F outta here if you think otherwise. We were Cooking them and if the rules stayed the same, we would’ve had our first cup.
The way they won against Tampa in the eastern finals that year was also controversial, I believe they didn’t take a penalty in game 7. The Bolts punished them on the PP in that series then the refs put the whistles away in that game giving the Ruins an advantage.

Probably Kesler, Bieksa, Lappy, Burr and Torres. I can’t see any of the other guys doing it. Maybe Ballard on top of that?

🤣 that’s funny but also very depressing

How dare a group of young men who’ve spent most of their lives working towards winning the cup be excited for the possibility that they may actually do it?!? The fucking nerve. /s

I also heard a story about how Gillis and Aquilini opened up some expensive scotch after winning game 2, bragging that they « built a Stanley cup winner »

This seems very out of character from a team with guys like the Sedins/Luongo as part of their leadership group. I guess I could see guys like Kes and Burr joking around at the end of practice or something? Almost seems like the type of thing those guys would find very cringey and chirp someone about. Of course this is entirely my speculation.

The NHL does a walk-through for the teams and broadcasters that involves the awarding of the Conn Smythe and the Cup. Who can stand where, who is allowed on the ice. There may have been standins but I highly doubt the actual team was seriously doing this on their own.

I’m glad Zdeno « I take everything personally » Chara opened up about this, it was getting kinda weird openly celebrating the best team this city has ever seen. Now we can go back to hating them.
