I feel like we are all misinterpreting the title. Maybe this literally means least popular rather than unpopular.
In other words, these are the states in which the respective teams are searched up the least. So for example, Louisiana is the state that searches up the Penguins the least amount of times and thus, they are the least interested in the team.
So much dislike of the Avs that they have the logo mirrored.
Lot of hate in Arkansas’ heart
There’s no way the Habs are hated more in Alabama than in Massachusetts.
And Texas has more people, but Toronto or Montreal or Philly has to hate Boston the most.
