The Jack Adams award is an over achievement award, if it was truly for best coach he would have won it by now. It’s also pretty common for Jack Adams winners to be fired shortly after winning.

To be quite honest it does make sense. The jack adams is not the “best coach in the league” award. It is the coach that *contributed most to his teams success*. The lightning have been a stacked team for a long time so coop isn’t going to get much jack Adams consideration

I think people have been forgetting that Cooper took the team Boucher couldn’t even make the playoffs with and made a SCF only after 2 years. He’s also been a finalist twice but never won so people know he should win it.
Also just because your team is extremely talented doesn’t mean you can’t win the Jack Adams or don’t contribute to your teams success. Cassidy won it with Boston and they have been very talented for a while as well.
