So much to like about this game. Samsonov shutout. Marner's point streak extended to 21 with an incredible goal. Excellent goals by Engvall, Willy, and Matthews, and I'm always hyped when Kampf scores. Perfect penalty kill after Engvall decided to go full neanderthal. Durzi getting booed after buying tickets for 200 of his friends…
Robertson getting hurt absolutely sucks though, I really hope he recovers quickly.
It's literally impossible to hate Samsonov.

Mitch knows how fickle fans can be. I have always supported him through tough times and great. I love how he calls out his team mates who are under-appreciated. Such a humble incredible man.

Nothin' like peaking in December.
This is a totally different feel then last year or years past. The whole team is buying into a defensive system fowards are coming back to help the defence they are not cherry picking for goals like before and they are not relying on only offence to win games .We have 2 goalies now who are playing great and look at stats we are 19th in goal scoring but 3rd overall in goals allowed proves they are playing at both ends of ice .When everybody buys into playing like this we can be very dangerous team.

The Leafs are winning with a different brand of hockey this year and I like it.
marners humble as heck man. we all know that he keeps track of his point streak but to be able to publicly acknowledge his teammates success over his own is what great leaders do.
When things were getting crazy with Engvall and whoever that was, the camera went away from them and the announcers reacted like they were fighting and I started cheering… only to find out Engvall is exactly the coward that I always believed he was.
Dubas may have saved his job with the decision on Murray and samsanov. There's a tonne of runway yet, but 2nd n 3rd in save % league wide is a great sign. N God knows you can't win in the spring without exceptional goaltending
If you played against a whole team of David Kampfs, you'd have to try really hard to beat them.
This was the first pre season I felt comfortable with the Leafs goalie situation. Almost every year in this era, the position has been questionable. I am glad the two are having success so far.
Samsonov and Murry are making Dubas look like an absolute genius.
