1. Can't say enough about David Kampf!!! This guy needs to be re-signed ✅

  2. Looked like dursy was coming at him with his stick thats why he put his stick up then it slipped down dursys stick dursys looked like the one to start it coming at him with his stick up

  3. Nice win by the Leafs. Speaking of goaltending tandems before this season when was the last time the Leafs had a good tandem? Especially one that lasted for more than a season or two. It's going quite a ways back but Allan Bester and Ken Wregget definitely come to mind. They were a good duo that unfortunately played on some bad teams. During Felix Potvin's time with the team he had some pretty good backups but never a 1a and 1b type situation. Same with Cujo and Belfour. Reimer and Scrivens? Andersen and McElhinney? Campbell and Andersen? Maybe Campbell and Andersen for like one season but it doesn't seem like the Leafs have had many good goaltending tandems over the last 40 years. Seems like they're kind of rare in general.

  4. I called it from the beginning. I was hesitant about just Murray when he signed but then the leafs lucked unto samsonov.

I said that Matt Murray plays his best when he's battling and jockeying for his crease. Yes it's good to have a heiarchy but there is also something to be said that competition for the spot can help elevate each goalies game.

Murray did have struggles and injuries but he was also coming into Ottawa a year after his dad died dad and there was no competition for who was number one in Ottawa.

Samsonov the year he had a good year he was the 1 b for the capitals and was trying to become the full starter, Washington them moves on from their other goalie and they didn't bring In someone who could challenge for samsonovs spot.the next year ( year he was released) he had arguably his worst season as a capital.

Some goalies thrive knowing they are the one, but murray and ssonov dont thrive that way. The leafs did a fantastic job recognizing the way these two perform at their best.

  5. I think Engvall was trying to deflect Durzis's stick, which was up around his own Giraffe 🦒 neck
