The way Mitch tagged up to avoid the offside and immediately stepped into the top corner slapper is the energy of a guy at the top of his game. The motions were so fluid.
So on 2nd the time to playing the California teams this season, The Leafs are so far 2-0. Proving Steve right, they have the talent as long as it doesn't go to OT. The fix; Don't let it go to OT

I have to say, I don't get to watch the leafs play usually and just watch the highlights and Steve, but when I saw that powerplay highlight come on with that "2nd PP" group I had a little chuckle to myself like "what the hell kind of PP line is this? Is this a powerplay or a penalty kill?" Then I saw they scored and I fully laughed out loud. Of course they scored! Can you imagine being a goalie out there trying to stop that group? It's the exact opposite of any normal PP where you have to be ready for a legit scoring chance from everyone one the ice. With that group you're like "who the hell in this line is actually a threat to score right now?" Too funny 🤣🤣

Our team injury prone, without rielly and other effective players, makes me wonder when everyone's healthy and we start looking bad again, will we use these depth guys who have been amazing? Mete and Holmberg to name a couple. Seriously when rielly turns, I hope Keefe keeps what's been working instead of reverting to something that was struggling. Let chemistry flourish, don't mop it up

Would have been nice if the refs had done their jobs though. Big hit leads to a fight leads to 3 quick goals players getting chippy after it goes 4-0 just call one of Durzi or Engvall or both for the holds or hooks or punches during the icing call.
Go sit down cool off cuz yeah Engvall needs to probably get at least a 2 for that but if you don't want players getting hurt don't let the game get out of hand by swallowing the whistle

Kings fan here, proving that I watch your videos even when it's not a Leafs blowout loss. LA was outclassed and outplayed from the drop of the puck. Your bit about dominating the first period and coming out of it with nothing (or even worse, trailing) was pretty much the tale of the Kings last season, so I was really hoping for a reverse to the narrative for once. Not to be. Congrats on this win, Leafs, we'll take the 1-1 series split. See you next season.
