It’s pretty impressive that he was invited to Habs Camp despite not having even been in the OHL yet.
Seriously, good on the guy.

Incredible story, love stuff like this.
Also, am I the only one who thinks the Costco thing isn’t the biggest deal? Hockey was shut down and there was literally nothing to do, may as well make some spending money in all that free time.

We just ignoring the messed up lettering in the NHL patch?
Edit: TIL

Easy guy to root for. Hell of a story. Parts of his game remind me of Shea Weber. Montreal has a potential franchise cornerstone right here.

Go get ’em WI-FI!

His story besides, what is this guy projected to be? Is he a 6-7th D on a weak Canadians team or is he actually earning a full time roster spot as the team gets more competitive?

I love that this kid is from the Hammer!

His name arose from an explosion at a Scrabble tournament

Xhesus, how do you pronounce his last name?
Chippopotanuse
Very Kurt Warnerish. He also bounced around and worked at a grocery store before he got his pro shot.
I hope Arber has a long career ahead of him.

Survivorship bias of sports is something I got mixed feelings about. Great story that he went through all that failure and kept trying but as long as she did it in a way that’s respectful the Costco lady is right a lot of the time.

Xhekaj’s story is a defining example of « I can do anything if I set my mind to it. »
from Costco to the NHL to becoming a fan favourite in MONTRÉAL, that’s very inspiring.

Maybe the rangers should start sending their prospects to Costco instead
StratfordAvon
Are we completely sure the reason he wasn’t drafted was that no one was sure how to pronounce his name?
Johnnywalgger
Why’s the always so much talk about him and Costco? I’m sure most junior hockey players have part time jobs, it’s not uncommon
ProfessorDerp22
Kid is nasty and with a great story
hi_brett
Great. So…can he play for the Red Wings now, please? Thanks.
