Yes this year and next year is our cup window. We have to go all in while Scheif and Helle are on their team friendly contracts.
Outside the X’s and O’s of what a front office could wheel and deal, I feel like there’s a certain logic of “the Jets barely changed anything in the off-season except their coach and they overnight went from losers to winners, so why change anything now”
Obviously, I would trade some down years in the future if it would guarantee a deep run now, but I’m not sure yet that we can’t try for sustained success
0 reason to not go all in while we have all of our core on undervalued contracts for two more years.
If we’re going off the assumption that Dubois is gone after this season, I think we should go all in this season, and recoup assets by trading Dubois then having a little reset next season.
Who knows the next time we will have 2 centers this good, and while a trade could possibly replenish that, I doubt we get better next year without Dubois. Having a reset in 23/24 will also allow us to trade away players at thr deadline (like Bucky or Schief), if they don’t plan on re-signing.
