I think we should sign another Dman, as well as a top 6 forward if we can, would love to bring Ryan back too
Dougie Hamilton isn't going to sign with the Red Wings. He will want a 5 year deal at 9-10M per. No way that fits Detroit's plan.
Great video! I’m excited for 5e draft!
Nope, you missed Danault.
Detroit is building a defence structure and you don't mention this?
And ps, fk Hamilton, cmon man, get this together before you post…
Alexander Wennburg could be a mid range signing at center, 29 points last year almost a point every other game (56). Cheaper ($2.5mil AAV) than Filppula and 10 years younger at age 27.
Blake Coleman of TBL could be of interest to Yzerman too, 31 points and age 29, very affordable @ $1.8mil AAV. Averages about 30 points a year.
Stecher is all but gone, but Seider is arriving to replace him. If there are any UFAs for D brought in they will be placeholders.
Who is this Berneer, person? Look up how to pronounce the players names because it makes your videos look and sound very amateurish, even though this is YouTube.
Quick comment as I have already mentioned what I think in my reply to guavaburst, the Wings need to spend more on starved cap teams, adding as many top picks as possible, pick up some one like Oleksiak, with Leddy, Stall and Hornik, maybe Stetch, and you have a decent group to help mentor and protect the kids coming up. On offence they will struggle at times but Larkin, Vrana, Fabbri and if Bert stays, that's not that bad, these guys will only get better as they mature, hope for a number 1 or 2 pick next year and, yep, Oh and the coach either changes his style and read the players he has better, Bowman changed alot from his days in Montreal to Detroit, or he needs to go. So much more to say as the Wings are My Passion. Read the Grande Rappids page to stay intune with the kids, or check out the Frolunda page S.H.L. and stayed informed with our future,,Thanks Nation
I love this channel its my fav when it comes to the Wings keep up the good work bro Go Wings🚨
Alec Martinez seems like a good addition. Veteran experience to mentor young guys plus he’s from Rochester Hills. Welcome home Alec Martinez!
I’m thinking Ryan Murray on low priced 2 year deal would work perfect for us, especially when playing with the younger players, and instill his two-way game in the young d-men on the Wings
Ryan sutter
Not a free agent but I'm wondering if Yzerman could aquire Subban. NJD exposed him even though he had 22:22 in TOI/GP, so I'm guessing they want to get rid of his huge cap hit, $9m I think, which might land us a pick in return. Subban is far from my favorite player but he could replace Stecher if he's picked by Seattle. It's only for one year anyway
In free agency I think we should go after Ryan Murray and a center like maybe Danault or Coleman
You should learn how to pronounce the redwings played
We should go for Vince Dunn
Tatar got traded to Vegas from Detroit 2017 2018 season then got traded to Montreal 2018 until 🤷just a little sumthin you left out of your video 👍
I have seen comments and opinions that the wings are 5-8 years away from a playoff team..No way in hell will Yzerman settle for that..I think within 3 years or so, when these players drafted from the last 3 drafts are ready, Yzerman will put the finishing touches signing or trading for the kind of players needed..Things can change faster than people think, and with Seider and Velano up this year, Raymond and Berggren next, and some of the others on there way soon, I can see 2023-24 as the time frame for a legit run as a playoff challenger..I love the direction Stevie Y has this team headed in!
Frederick Anderson or holtby if Seattle don't take him I'm done with bernier
I think a guy like Oleksiak would be a perfect addition to that defense. I also think Danault would make a perfect guy that could come in and play 2nd line center and then maybe move down to 3rd line spot if a prospect like Veleno for example developed well and takes a top 6 role.
Burn-yay
Bernier
I would love the signing Of Martinez over Oleksiak. Hyman would be great with or without Bertuzzi being gone. Also, I dont think Bert is leaving anyway. He hasnt expressed any interest of being dealt. I think its all just rumor and unless a team wants to pay a Mantha type of ransom, no way he is dealt. Hyman though is RH which makes him a bit more valuable. As someone else mentioned, I would love a Danualt signing. Oh, and as for Tatar… Yes please. He still has offensive skill and we do need offense. Lastly… As for Goalie, no one. Just take Wallstedt at 6 and you got your goalie of the franchise.
Tatar is a playoff 🤡. Hope the wings doesn’t sign him.
Tatar for sure we can get him cheap
Okeksiak is the only one who excites me
U gotta wonder how many of these players (for instance, maybe hyman?) Who may be going to a team lower and think "well detroits not as good right now but I think they know what they're doing better"
Have no fear stevie's here he will make some good moves after all he built the lightning when they were as bad as Detway
When you mentioned the pairing on Oleksiak and Seider. That, that is something I want to watch. Let's see how teams like the leafs and habs handle a pair like them. I think it'd be fun to watch.
It’s bern”yay”
I still can´t believe we´ve got Vrana and 1st round pick. I am waiting for more otherworldly moves from Yzerman. Dougie Hamilton does not make any sense for us and him.
Hopefully Stevie targets Phillip Danault to be the big signing this offseason.. he’d fit well on that 2nd line for next year and be that long term 3rd line, shutdown Center for us.. He also won’t cost Zach Hyman money and he’s less of a risk since we know what he is.. I have my doubts about Hyman since he has no skill whatsoever and his numbers are inflated from playing with stars in Toronto.. Wouldn’t be surprised if he’s the next Lucic, Eriksson or Ladd for a team in 3 years
We don't need Tatar .. It has been seen that Tatar does not do well in any physical game. That's why he didn't get much playing time in the playoffs in Montreal… Too bad we didn’t get Ryan Ellis when he seemed to be trading.. He would have been an almost perfect defender, as he is good at both puck play and physical defense play…
Detroit is not going to get a good deal with hyman. Why would Hyman give Detroit a deal when he lives in Toronto and he's a Toronto kid and won't give the Leafs a deal, especially since they are so much closer to a cup than Detroit is? The fans in Toronto absolutely adore Hyman – if he took any kind of deal at all, it would be Toronto and it doesn't look like he wants to.
No, Hyman is going to a team that is actually going to pay him 6 million for 8 years. Someone will. And for the first 2-3 years, he'll be worth it since he will score and setup plays and work his ass off on even the shittiest lines and still make something happen. But he's also very banged up so the contract is not likely to age well. The style of game he plays makes a long-term contract a bad deal, which is why the Leafs won't sign it. But someone who wants to make a cup run and has 6 million in cap in the next 2-3 years will.
Come on dude. Your pulling a Holland. No more old geezers. Your choices suck except for Martinez.
Danault to the Leafs
The only free agent over a million dollars that I would want them to target is Oleksiak. He and Seider would be a beast pairing. No point in signing these midlevel guys like Hyman right now. We have great prospects, sure, but let's see what they can do before we start picking up filler guys. We still need to suck for a couple years anyways to have a chance at one of the three generational talents coming in the next two drafts. Picking up guys to scratch and claw our way into the playoffs, just to get eliminated in the first round, was the Holland strategy and we all saw how well that worked.
Either way they won't make a big splash so…
Carey price to red wings? 😆
I would be bummed if we don’t get Tatar back *crossing fingers
I’m not sure I’d consider any of last years signings as “ big signings” they made the team better no doubt but they were fringe signings
and then oleksiak to seattle lol
Doesn't this guy watch the RedWings cause the way he says Bern-ier seems sus???
The UFA that I would like to see here is Hyman. 4yr/$25MM is the max though
Another interesting and very well put-together video, here – great work!
Some random, post-Expansion Draft (reveals) comments, here:
1) Your floating of a possible Oleksiak signing, made a lot of sense to me. Unfortunately, though, Ron Francis and the Kraken hierarchy must have been tuned in to Red Wing Nation, too, as they opted not only to select him, but also to wheel him out at their big ED Event! Ah well…🤔!
2) Martinez, could be a strong, veteran presence on and off the ice for the Red Wings, as you say. However, as Steve Y. has just pulled off the Nick Leddy trade, it could be that he now sees Leddy as providing the primary left-side veteran presence that the team definitely needs at this time (possibly with other, younger left side options/players being developed and brought through from within, in the next few years).
3) A potential 'Tomas Tatar return to Detroit', trade, could certainly be an idea worth thinking about, for the Red Wings: previous playing experience with the team, an undoubtedly skilled, quick puck handler and nice skating ability, too. Additionally, as TT found himself falling foul of the, err, um, rather colorful and unorthodox coaching and management setup in Montreal, he would certainly NOT lack for extra motivation, should the Red Wings find a way to get him back into their red-and-white jersey, again!
Time to sign off now, then, as it's getting just a little bit late, here😑!
Please keep up your great work on the channel, RWN👍! LGRW🏒🎯!
Nice video, but unfortunately the Oleksiak ship has sailed, but Martinez would be a nice addition.
