Really thought the Canucks would have come out flying considering they had a few days off and the Wild played last night but it was the Wild who came out strong and played a pretty good game. The Wild are really tough team and I wouldnt wanna play them in the first round of the playoffs.
The Canucks are exactly where I thought they would be. Out of a wildcard spot and out of the Bedard race.
Congrats to Gustavsson on getting his 1st NHL Career Shutout. Also congrats to Bo Horvat for hitting the 600th game mark. Wish you would have mentioned Luke Schenn. He had a great game tonight with 2 Shots, 6 hits and 7 blocks while playing just under 16 minutes.
MN fan here. Easy for me to stay up to watch Shannon since I live in North Idaho. Same time zone.
i love pain.
Sober Wild fan, here's my observation: Martin looked pretty frickin good tonight. Gustavson did too, but the difference as I saw it was that the Canucks really weren't getting a lot of good shots on net, and Gustavson was stopping the few that did. The Wild were getting all kinds of good looks and Martin was in front of almost all of them. There was a Foligno chance, a great move by Greenway in close, and Erikson-Ek had a good chance stopped. A few from the first line, but the Canucks seemed to be playing to stop Kaprizov and make someone else beat them.
Derailed slightly, point of this was to say that I thought Martin looked really good all game.
Wild have had injury issues all season and had most of their strength on the ice tonight. That was nice to see. Not a chance Fleury would have stopped them the way Gus did though. Fleury is a first shot goal tender and Gus is a position/rebound guy. It was the right player at the right time looking at that second period in my opinion. I just hope they can figure out how to stay out of the box when they go up against a team like Edmonton.
The annocher kept saying the "Canucks are buzzy" and all I could think of was Shannon's 80's Canucks stories
This one was hard to watch as a Canucks fan. And when you look at the schedule, it doesn't get any better the rest of the month. There is some playoff-calibre competition coming up.
For Sam Steel to keep his going on 5 year, exactly 6 goals a season streak he needs to not score a goal the rest of the season, COME ON SAM! Also Philip Gustavsson has a 920 save% now btw
Finally giving Boldy some speed
Walker looks good!! The Wild are finally getting healthy having Greenway back
Makes the grief line complete
Connor Dewar is still not used right
He should be playing with Boldy Walker
Gustafson should be the Wilds starting goalie the Wild are going on a run now
Beating winnepig and Dallas this week says it all
Not masochism. I missed the game because of a Christmas party. Came home and watched the highlights, but you never get the full picture with that. That's why I come here! You deliver the hard truth, Shannon! 😅
the wild lost the first 3of the season
I am not a fan of either team brotha. I will always watch either way, thanks for the video!
4th goal for Dewar and his 3rd SHG. Also leads the league in short handed points with 4.
Took my kid brother to this one it was his first hockey game ever. He definitely got to experience Canucks hockey like so many of us have.
Miller has not even been trying…
Canucks is the only team I watch that gets shots on net but no scoring chancessss lmaooooooo this game was not good but I mean this is the motto do shit at the start then play hard near the end so we get mediocre late picks and don’t make playoffs love it we need another pat quinn era hahahahahah
Your passive-aggressive comments towards the Canucks are hilarious.
"They have a fight. It was pretty quick. Foligno beat up Stillman, and then had to go get his hand fixed."
"Merrill boarded Aman; that led to the first powerplay for the Canucks, and you think, 'well, the Canucks gotta be mad about that…' Not really."
"Canucks go BACK to the powerplay – their THIRD in a row in the second period. And they celebrate by allowing a shorthanded goal."
I gotta watch more reviews of the Canucks whenever they lose, because this is comedy gold.
I like watching your meltdowns….
I'm following what jerseys you wear for this year. See if it evens out and what jersey numbers are used. Only for game reviews!

Not sure if Shannon's frustration is actually with the Canucks or if it's because since they fell to the Wild he lost the bet and has to get up and make Yvonne breakfast.
The Canucks are lazy! LAZY, I SAY! VANCOUVER WILL BURN YET AGAIN FOR THEIR SLOTH!
Thanks for covering this late game for my wild. I do believe they lost three in a row to start the year though. Regards!
