Pourquoi PERSONNE ne peut arrêter Sidney Crosby…

  1. I'll take Sidney Crosby over anybody. He is playing in the harder and more skillful league and he still dominates. He is the best.

  2. Player to build around is Crosby, more skilled McDavid. So McD needs a team and a team needs Crosby. As now I would say Crosby has been more important for his team than McD to his. Sid have been in the league 10 years more , so only time will tell if McD can become more impactful player

  3. sidney crosby all day forr that game 7 question, he's led his team to 3 stanley cup finals. Until mcdavid wins one there shouldnt be a debate about them that involves playoff hockey

  4. Game 7 last minute if I’m down a goal I pick mcdavid. Up a goal I pick Bergeron. Tied I pick crosby.

  5. I'm a Pens fan but I would still pic Mcdavid for the 1 goal. That kid can score almost at will. If you are trying to pick 1 player that makes everyone around him better and can lead your team to a cup then its Sid every day of the week., CmcD might score goals and rack up points, but until he can lead his team to a cup he will never truly be one of the greats.

  6. When both players have finally retired, I think Crosby will have had the longer, more consistent career. McDavid is exceptional and at the top of the league as he is still in his prime, but I think he will hit a stretch where his production drops off year after year and then he'll be done. He'll still easily have strong HoF numbers but I just don't see his style of play serving him well in later years. Meanwhile, Crosby is proving that he can still do most of the things he has in the past, provided he stays healthy.

  7. Crosby is amazing. I'd take Crosby as a building block over anyone else.

  8. I would love to hear what Mcdavid would say about Crosby and what makes him great. I lived in Erie when he played for the Otters and I remember reading something about him confessing Crosby is his favorite player of all time. I’m sure there aspects of Crosby’s game that Connor sees all that much more than we do on the screen.

  9. For me, the answer is easy, although McDavid is unequivocally the greatest points producer in the league, and arguably the greatest player in the league, in a game 7 situation YOU WANT SID. He’s still top 10, he’s a more complete player, can score from anywhere, and he’s the guy that makes it happen no matter who, what, when, or where. He brings all these small and intangible attributes that are crucial in a critical moment, which McDavid notably lacks.

Part of why Sid remains so good is he's been able to consistently evolve his play, he is an incredibly adaptable player. McDavid doesn’t seem quite as adaptable particularly in high pressure, tough situations. I also don’t see that McDavid has the leadership quality that Sid does. I’m not sure he’s a guy that can instill inspiration in his team when the game is on the line. Sid has been the driving force and the example for his team his entire career. If something needs to get done to improve the play Sid will be the first to do it. Sid’s an integral reason why the Pens haven’t missed a play-off slot since he came into the league. His IQ is uncanny. His initiative is unparalleled-he has no issues making gritty plays and serving up shots from areas that other players aren’t touching. And while it’s not everything, let’s not neglect the value of experience in a deep playoff run. When you can have a guy that performs at an elite level, can produce at a high caliber, brings all these other components that are vital to a W, while also bringing the experience of being in 4 Finals, versus someone that brings a fraction of that, it’s a no brainer.

  10. One thing that is 100% wrong in this video is calling Crosby fast, he's not. He's below average in this league with speed at this point. His style of play has been meticulously crafted to age perfectly because it was never truly reliant on speed. Mix that with the best work ethic in the league and scoring trending up and you get a 35 year old with a chance to set the record for most points of that age (116).

25 year old Crosby would have absolutely destroyed this league though, its this same exact skillset except he's a quite a bit faster and more dangerous on the rush.
