I went in 2006. My friend (a NYI fan) told me not to talk to the Ranger fans. I’m a Southern girl who will talk to anybody! This was the Monday after Erik Cole’s injury. The guys behind me were jerks. Then they were confused because they thought it was Eric STAAL. I turned around and filled them in. They thanked me. A little while later, one of them tapped me on the shoulder to ask about our goalie. (I think Cam was for some reason, but that was a long time ago!) We won the game, and they congratulated me on the great game! Maybe it was my Southern accent? I don’t know. I was wearing a Ron Francis shirt and had a nice conversation with a Rags fan on the way out about what a great player and class act RF is. My friend was in disbelief! I think I represented us well in enemy territory! It’s a very impressive venue! (Best part was going downstairs to Penn Station and catching the subway back to the Bronx! No traffic. No parking fee.)
