Well I'm happier than I was two days ago at least. Don't love it. We'll have a top six for sure, but more because of our two best left and right wingers. Glad we got another 3rd line center. With how high we are on Myers I envision us as having now 1 great first line center, and 4 great 3rd line centers. Which is huge compared to 3. And now we have another leader for the 2C candidacy this year. Landy can do anything and rants got a taste last year, but we want five actual NHL centers no question. Helps keep the rest of the roster making sense, through a couple injuries.
Love the ERod signing! Would be ecstatic if Sonny Maleno would be signed as the Burky type replacement as a 3rd line scorer!
sometimes you listen to the podcast in the background then you hear "Darren Helm doesn't have to go in the woodchipper" and you're like, wtf did I miss!?
Losing Burky and Kads is massive. That means two guys need to make huge strides. 7 top 6 forwards is a flat out necessity. But surely, on this squad, with those leaders and that buy in, guys can certainly take steps. As a whole team they took steps through injuries and tested depth all of last season. The worry is simply scoring, the rest is not an issue, possession and the right play, but can we get the same depth scoring, I don't think we can. We can maybe afford a slight drop off though, or MacK and Mak can maybe take the extra load. I just hope everyone give the third line a break, they may not find that 7th scoring forward. That's over 20 goals gone from it. 2nd should be a good second line even if no longer elite.

There’s very few guys on the AVS that can’t play center. It’s a good offseason talking point, but in the offensive system I don’t think it’s all that important. Nate mikko, landy JT Cogs Helm LOC Myers Newy can all play C
