To me, it looked like he got hit below the edge of the helmet. On that spot half way between the centre of the spine and below/behind the ear, bottom of the skull. Freaking auuugh! The puck didn't seem to careen off like it would bouncing off a helmet, but kinda drop down as it would hitting an exposed area of the body. I can't even imagine the stunning force of an impact like that, jeez…
