  1. I don't like it. But their window is closing…
As a Canucks fan, a big value trade would be nice but if we can't get a overpay then I'd rather see him stay. Next problem is can we afford him when his contract is up? Will he even want to stay? We need something good now.

  2. The Matheson and Marino pairing were great late season and playoffs. Letang and Doumilin are the top pairing with Jarry in goal, the Pens are solid. Marino is going nowhere!

  3. With the exception of JT Miller, I like these trades. I think Miller is worth it even if he only stays one more season. The Canucks can scrub right-handed defensemen from anywhere in the league and even pick up draft picks and signings.
The reason right-handed defensemen are in demand is because defensemen were always undervalued. I'm confident the Canucks can find plenty of diamonds in the rough and sign them whether it's from a league overseas, out of university or even the minors, they just need to get their scouts out there.

  4. Nothing against JT Miller, but as a Pens fan… I don't want to lose Marino. He's an incredible talent– very under-rated.

  5. Hey that was my question! This hypothetical has been gaining lots of steam and some people in the know are selling it on Twitters too. I'm not sure if Rutherford is thrilled to make a deal with Pitt after his departure, and both teams need to shed salary, so this deal is more fun to entertain but doesn't seem logical in real life at the moment. Pittsburgh def is the winner if it's just Kap, Marino and a 1st for Miller and some late picks.

  6. jt miller mr overtime mr heart n soul of the canucks wont get traded….garland probably will and myers and dickenson. my bets are they sign him here in van unless a offer to good to refuse cam along. price is to high for most teams so he will stay a canuck.

  7. I'm not sure kapanen fits on the canucks squad. Unless we were to then to trade garland or kapanen for more( pick(s)/prospect(s)

  8. no late picks in the miller deal, just miller straight up. other 3 trades ok. 2023 draft is a deep one.

  9. i rather keep dickinson.. let him play another year to raise his value… there is no incentive when the prospect pool is so barren to move out picks..

  10. JT Miller may still end up a Penguin but Not with Marino involved, he plays for New Jersey now.
