  1. I imagine even if Ovie starts from his own net, passes 5 opponents, fools a goalie and scores, some will still say "those 5 players he passed were not the best, and the goalie had a bad day"

  2. Я не пойму…Кейн так в кадр исторического момента торопился попасть, словно в общее фото?) Так жестко в летел в борт, надеюсь с ним все в порядке. Ну а Саня красава, уже легенда, мои поздравления!😎

  3. Big props to Chicago fans for showing Ovi the love he deserves. Classy!

  4. What makes this more incredible is the time era of the game he started in to now is astonishing. The game was a lot better when he started and 10x times better now, a player to achieve this blows my mind. What’s more impressive he is not slowly down.

  5. Настроение снова отличное!!!!! Уйдет Ови на пенсию, что делать будем?

  6. Congrats Ov! And good job to whoever was responsible for changing the banner number at the bottom of the screen. That was instantaneous. Almost like they had their finger on the button just waiting for OV score. 😂

  7. Gotta show some love for Mantha, #39. My man probably could have taken that shot himself and had an open net. But he passed it to OV 👌🏼 great teammate

  8. To me, the craziest thing about Ovi is that he likes to hit almost as much as he likes to score. It is such a rare combination among top-notch players.

  9. how can you not be romantic about Hockey?
I love OVI, no matter what team you are rooting for, you can not hate this guy, so happy when he hoist that cup back in 2018, you can see the joy in his face that a thorn was finally lifted

  11. He is incredible. And to think so many wrote him off as getting to old and slipping. I thought his usual cast of players come back his scoring could increase. One came back. Right smack in the thick of the goal scoring race. It is like scoring became easier. Funny Oshie comes back and so did his scoring. Still me myself did not think he would get close. As long as he stays healthy he will get it. I wonder if he keeps playing after he passes the Great one. And for how long? 50? Think he must be a robot. His scoring is unreal. He still looks great. His recent pace will get him 50 again if not more. If there is slippage in his play, I do not see it. Very little, but he is getting gray.

  12. Alex Ovechkin the great, congratulations on your 800 career goal. Can't deny his greatness! 🐐 🔥

  13. Красавец Саша 800 шайб в регулярке это что то….И еще хорошо что на культовой арене в Чикаго.💯💥💥💥

  14. Can't wait for number 895! 👌 Amazing feat by an amazing player!

Let's go Ovi! Get that record!

  15. I like how Chicago handled this, showing respect to a great moment.

I'm not sure if Ovechkin is the best goal scorer ever. He is a great goal scorer, that's for sure, but a lot of this record is simply that he has been able to play so much (being healthy) and kept up his level reasonably well, not to mention he has needed to have good teammates to help him. That alone doesn't mean he's even close to the best, but then again, I'm not sure how else to measure who's the best.

Still, it is a great accomplishment, congratulations!
