Interesting salary cap update, the good news is that it will go up at least by $1Mil—–statement by Horvat seemed strange but I get it—IMHO, he is NOT a Canuck by seasons' end.
When Benning signed Boeser for more money than the captain I saw the potential for crap coming down the line.
Towes to get he bruins makes zero sense. Bergeron, Kreci, Coyle as your two three centers. and zacha has performed well when he has played center. i think the bruins could use another defenseman. an upgrade to clifton. Sweeney does not have many assets to use.
Toews would either have to play as a winger in Boston’s top 6 or as a 3rd line centre. Kreici and Berg are locked in the top 6 for centres.
Toews would rather go to the Leafs than the Bruins…..in a heartbeat….
Jessie P to the Ducks makes sense, but still rather see him be used as bait to pry Edmundson out of Montreal. Not sure where Toews would play in Boston, not really a fit. The Avs would be a better fit. Last player to say he won't talk contract was Gaudreau, and we all know how that turned out. I'm thinking Canes, Flyers, or CBJ for Horvat. A possible dark horse would be Winnipeg. Dubois seems determined to leave, so that would be a hole that needs filling.
