  1. As a ranger fan I view this as a fleece I wish Georgiev well but with that said two 3rds is a lot for someone who was arguably a 60 ranked goalie in the league, now I do believe he can bounce back and with the Avs I’m sure no issue but man what a haul from Drury

  2. W for Colorado. The 2022 draft class isn’t very strong after the first 4 obvious picks of Wright, Slakofsky, Cooley and Nemec. Sakic is looking to repeat and win the cup again next season. Kuemper not coming back makes sense he was very shaky and inconsistent throughout the playoffs and rumor has it that he was asking for a multi year 6m AAV contract. Way too expensive for an iffy goalie. Alexandar Georgiev showed great promise earlier in his New York Rangers career and even though he took a step back this season. He just needs a change of scenery and playing behind that amazing Avalanche blue line will do wonders for him. Welcome to Colorado.

  3. We needed picks and they needed a goalie. Win win for both. Always liked Georgiev and hope he does well.

  4. Crazy to me that Edmonton etc would be in on this at that price. They better be in on kuemper or Campbell

  5. I liked Kuemper this season, but he wasn't at his best in the playoffs, where Colorado is likely to play again in 2023, so I understand the need for a better goalie. I'm just not entirely sold on a Francouz-Georgiev duo

  6. Avs fan here…love the move! Save us some money ey to use on our forwards! Thank you to Kuemper, but didn't want to pay 5+ million to keep him.

  7. Thank so you much Kumper

But wow I. love this trade , Joe Sakic best GM and still get no credit
We are lucky. To have him as AVS GM

The Kronke need to resign Joe Sakic
    Now resign Valeri N.
    Josh Manson
    And reisgn McKinnon

    Let go AVS

  8. By doing this trade the Avs got a goalie who should bounce back and they also prevent teams like the Buds,Oilers etc. from getting a goalie. Both teams are in need of goaltending and the pickings are slim right now.

  9. I personally think it’s a good trade for both teams. Georgie had a terrible year so if he can bounce back the avs got a steal…I doubt it though by the soft ones he let in

  10. So glad to be rid of georgiev. Didn't think we would get anything for him tbh

  11. AV fans will be chanting Georgie!!! Georgie!!! GEORGIE!!! soon. Great pick up and happy for AG to finally get his chance to be an excellent #1 goalie.👍😉

  12. DeBrincat just got traded to Ottawa lol

    Chicago just got FLEECED 😂😂😂

  13. LGR in DURY We Trust brilliant trade rid ourselves of $2.6M plus we are going to send Nameth to AZ finally along with that 167 pick so we save over $5M a year for the next two years brilliant I say

  14. Kuemper was AIT” average but playoffs we NEED more solid goaltending georgiev is promising and he’s also young timins for kuemper was worth it timins was injurie prone and barely played for AZ

  15. I love this trade Darcy Kemper was overrated anyways he didn't have an amazing playoff run regardless of winning the cup the team was just that good and he was asking too much money now they have more money to keep some of their other players I think this was a great move go ask go let's win another cup

  16. I think I'm all right with this, especially if Kuemper ends up signing somewhere for more than 6mil AAV or longer than 4 years. It makes the steep price they paid sting a bit since he was only a one-year rental, but, that rental got to lift to the stanley cup so I guess in hindsight it was worth it! I really like Kuemper so it's disappointing it seems he priced himself out, but it is what it is. This is all assuming Georgiev is at least * good *. Doesn't have to be all-world, just good. But in Sakic I trust 🙂

  17. I’m ok with the trade. The Avs have more important FA’s to bring back than Kuemper.

  18. I think both team got what the were stuck with. Last 2 goalies were expensive experiments for Avs since Varlamov left. Grubauer was great back up on a great Stanley Cup run with the Caps, and Kuemper was good goalie stuck with rebuilding teams. Georgiev is another but young project that Avs' are going try to mold. With this the Avs won't see another expensive last minute purchase of a over paid goalie. The demand on goalies are high, not sure Kuemper will see the term or dollars he was hoping on the open market. Do you thinking he'll go back to Arizona again?

  19. Georgiev is gonna be a stud and he’s only 26 so I’m happy I’m mean wait and see the season but he just needs a chance

  20. If y’all grumbling I mean Kuemper gone he looked really shaky sometimes like man I think this was a big win trade
