Rough one. Thought Walman and seider had really nice games. Awesome that soderblom scored 1st game back up. But boy the injuries are catching up with us. We struggled scoring with Larkin now with him Bert fabs vrana all out it’s hard to see where the goals are gonna come regularly. Thought Hellberg let in one softie but other than that looked ok. More worried about the lack of scoring than the physicality imo. Also reaves missing the empty net made watching this game worth it.
Really feeling the injuries tonight. Honestly, I’m surprised it was only 3 to 1 going deep into the 3rd. Hard to play a new system with a new coach with so many injuries. Just brutal, man.
Oh, and fuck Ryan Reaves
I hated EVERYTHING about that game.
My expectations are in the basement with Larkin and Hronek out on top of everyone else. I just don’t see how you can win with so many good players out of the game.
Bedard back on the menu with all these injuries
Things Reaves can hit: Defenseless players.
Things Reaves can’t hit: An empty net
Message has been sent to the rest of the league: do whatever you want to us. We will not beat you on the scoreboard or stand up to you. Really, really frustrating to see such a lack of heart.
Just get out and never look back at this one. Everything that could’ve went against us basically did and that’s already on top of being out so many top players…
That was a rough game and it’s only going to get worse, me feels. It’s gonna be a rough month or so. Buckle up everybody.
22 shots is all we gave up and somehow we were never in this game. Just depressing
Rough.
Turns out we aren’t very good without 5 of our top ~7 forwards, 2 of our top 4 defensemen, and our starting goalie. Whodathunk.
Fuck Reaves. Fuck TNT. I need an extra stiff ginger ale after that one. Holy jumpin
Sign Peter Worrell now
[Wings rapidly approaching that 66-10-6 record](https://www.reddit.com/r/DetroitRedWings/comments/zlf657/post_game_thread_carolina_hurricanes_at_detroit/j04zyvl/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=iossmf&context=3)
Not surprised we come away with a loss there. Injuries, back up goalie on the road and down a top defensemen since early in the first.
Still bummed, but not surprised.
Odds on Reaves getting a hearing?
Also is there a way for me to give up five years of my life for our injured guys to suddenly become healthy?
The hope really fucked me the start of this season lol. Still though, lightyears apart from 2019-20
Fire Blashill
It’s been real, it’s been fun, but it ain’t been real fun.
How did Hellberg look? I couldn’t watch
Obviously there’s major injuries, but it’s a pretty dickless effort by the Wings to get 17 shots on goal after being shutout at home last night and watching their best d-man go down on a questionable hit.
The wild traded for a guy who can’t hit the empty net
Best part of tonight was the octopus on the ice…
The injury gods are losers who take up two handi-cap spots when they park at costco.
I also want to remind everyone that for a good 10 years we had a player on our team we loved very much for making players with their heads down pay. There is a difference though, I can only name one specific hit where it was so squarely shoulder directly to the face. Also, if it was not Reaves making that hit the intent would be a lot more of a toss-up. His reputation might be all you need when it comes to the intent of that hit.
