I think what your missing is what Kyle was doing. He surrounded the core 4 with older players that have the Leadership standards and development in like strong work ethics, Competitive Character and Locker Room Presence. Players like Marleau, thornton, Foligno and Simmonds there is a lot more then just scoring they need to developed these players, and the core 4 are have benefited because of it.
Now Boston has both and they are both playing well.

Hall would not have fit into Toronto cap structure. It was a no go for that reason alone and Hall wasn't exactly lighting it up back then. So saying it was a bad move by Dubai is actually a stupid thing to say. They weren't expecting Foiling to get hurt. These types of arguments are what gives Leaf fans a bad rap, in this case deservedly so.

I like Nick folino as a hockey player, but he was injured when they traded for him, or just coming off of injury. Yet in hindsight, it's more DEFINITELY like he was injured when they traded for him, because he only lasted 10 games…Or whatever!
