can’t wait for this team to somehow manage to stay afloat, have Demko be Demko again once he returns from injury, go on a run and keep Bo as a self-rental, only to finish just outside the wild card and continue to not have a long term plan in the off-season #ExperienceCanucksHockey

Considering they started at 0-7 or some sh!t it’s kinda amazing we’re .500, but also predictable at the same time. We’re a paradox.

It’s depressing how accurate this feels, haha.
How many times in the last X years have we gone through this whole « this season/month long stretch of games/road trip/homestand will teach us so much about this team » as if long term decisions are literally being made and trashed at the highest level based on a handful of games, and the whole process endlessly repeats. I’m cool with fans riding and dying with every game, coaches and players too, sure… makes sense. But this kind of indecision from management and ownership just screams loser mentality to me. To be so content with mediocrity that a few wins here and there are all the excuse they need to sit on their hands when big, scary decisions loom.
The whole point of having a president like Rutherford with his decades of experience is that he can take the bull by the horns, to talk ownership into the hard decisions, and explain his motivations to the market. « Get in losers, we’re winning the cup… in 5 years »
