They've lost their 2nd round and 3th round pick in trades last season (Ristolainen, and Deangelo), so they can't offer sheet, they do not have the picks involved…next topic!
Edit: unless the offer is ridiculous and involve 4 1st rounds picks including their 1st in 2023 which would be just insane…

The thing is, if they do this the flyers assume cole wants to go there. You can provide an offer sheet, but if the player isnt interested and doesnt sign it, nothing happens.

Caufield grew up thinking he would play for the Habs. His grand-mother told him so and that is why he learned french in school rather than spanish like all of his friends.
He has an insane fit with Suzuki and Dach. He knows he will make big money here. Nothing guarantees he will get the same chemistry with any Philly players…
And he wants to have an impact, which he already does.
I would be heartbroken if he signed such a deal, but I have no fear about that.

A very sad Flyers fan here. It's tough watching this dysfunctional team. The organization is maxed out on the salary cap, depleted of draft picks ( F*^# you Chuck Fletcher for trading them away for busts & long-term injured players ). And blowing the chances to get Caulfield & Cale Makar in the first place. York has been buried in the AHL & Nolan Patrick is out of the league. The Flyers could offer him the moon, but in reality, all they have to spend is a bag of practice pucks.
