Yes , montreal did make a lot of mistakes , but TO also made a lot of mistakes .
I was not impressed with either team to tell the truth, it was a game of who was going to loose the game , not who was going to win .
Lets put it down to 1st game jitters ., and move on .

Toronto definitely looked "off" in the first 10 minutes or so. I think Allen looked good. Need to work on some things, just get the puck on net! It was great to see them back on the ice, with a full crowd. So happy to see Drouin with the first goal! Great to see him smile on the bench! Will see how they do against Buffalo! Can't sleep on Buffalo. They get some weird wins sometimes. Game 1 of 82 in the books! Keep up the great work!!
Allen looked great, how ever T.O. spends to much time in our end . AS far as the officiating I feel the refs are scared to give the leafs a penalty because they may start crying and take there puck and sticks and go home!!!
It's not such a bad game for the Habs. Habs had to capitalize on the 5-3 power play.
As a Leaf fan, we’re not excited at all lol. Obviously we have to get to the playoffs first but None of this really matters until the playoffs.
You cant judge a team by the first few games of a season. It takes awhile to get rolling.

They deff did not finish the 2nd strong. After the leafs tied it they disappeared pretty quick. I do agree we need a PMD. This might be a rough year for Habs.

Leafs tend to win the first game which begins my favourite part of the season. Watching them plan their annual parade just to see it all fall to pieces is great!!

2 things,,,,,,, 1) Fuck leaf nation, if they knew anything about hockey they would be cheering for a different team. 2) It's so early in the season with 5 starters out and a team that haven't come close to gelling. I hope I get to see the Dangle youtube response when the aneurysm strikes and leaves him a twitching mass on the carpet. I don't wish him harm, but he's doing it to himself.

Leafs fan here. You guys were definitely the better team. The refs sucked for both teams. I agree. Game was sloppy as they usually are this early in the season. Montreal have a good team. Jack won this one for us.

That faceoff percentage is not a good sign for them after losing Danault. I think the young guys will get better but still, they lost a lot of center depth and they're feeling it.

It was a flagrant call and a really brainless play from Romanov, puck was nowhere near ,it had to be called. i'm as much a hab fan as the next guy but you can't let bias cloud your takes and the way you bring them forth in an analysis video like this one.. it's a bad look on your otherwise stellar content
