I wish I had followed hockey before the Avs came to Denver so I could appreciate what I was witnessing during that time. I remember the Red Wings rivalry and watching that double overtime to win the cup and that was an incredible experience for me as kid.

Chiefs and Avs fan here – Neil Smith was on both SB teams and recovered a fumble in SB XXXII against the Packers. Been fortunate enough to live in Colorado and enjoy all three Cup wins as an adult.

I lived in hockey world in college up in North Dakota and Minnesota and then moved to Vegas. I then transfered to Denver in 1995 so u can imagine how excited I was that Denver got the Nordiques!!We were so stoked with EVERYTHING the Avs were doing!! It was FANTASTIC!!
