  1. What upsets me the most is okay the Leafs finally lost back to back games, but that’s enough for Boston to pull 6 points ahead with two games in hand. Feels like every season the Leafs are always flirting with the top 5 of the NHL, yet a division rival is always ahead of us.

  2. BCharmer

At least we never have to see a replay of 801 with Leafs on the ice

GDT being messed up the last 2 games.. Leafs 0-2 🤫🤫🤫

  4. helloyo53

The loss sucks but honestly considering the entire broadcast was just an « Ovechkin Watch » (Simpson literally said that right before the last Bunting penalty) and he didn’t tally a single point, I’ll sleep tonight. Man was that an annoying broadcast.

    Ovi didn’t score; that’s a W in my book

  6. IlikeTurtles1308

Sammy has been absolute brick wall all season long, at some point we knew he was gonna be so-so for once.

It is what it is we haven’t played are best the last two games and we’ve payed for it. It’s long season and these guys deserve the benefit of the doubt. Big game on Tuesday vs Tampa let’s rebound strong!

  7. Ah well, going through a tough couple of games. I thought the effort was there but just couldn’t bury it.

  8. Mission-Astronomer42

*Mission failed, we’ll get em next time*

  9. Svalbard38

We were the last team to allow 5 goals in a game. All 31 of the others had already done it this season. Every team has games like these, so I’ll just be happy that Putinite Ovechkin didn’t get his goal tonight.

Last 2 haven’t felt good but no reason to be worried. Offence has had a shit ton of golden chances and nothing is going in. Dmen and bottom 6 forwards aren’t always going to erupt for 5 goals. Only thing I think needs to change is Timmins. His inexperience showed in many key moments last 2 nights. Soon as another D is healthy he needs to sit

Ovi didn’t score. He’s the real loser tonight.

  12. JRB2000

Second game in a row where our offence has had zero finish. Maddening how many looks they flubbed tonight.

  13. DavidHasselhoof

Ovi has to wait for his congratulatory call from his BFF Putin. Leafs played a good first and second but fell apart in the third. Caps pushed hard, they wanted it for their Captain

  14. somericecake

We all predicted Ovi to tie the record tonight and instead a defenseman got his first 3 goals of the season in one game.

They always find such creative ways to Leaf.

Meh, we didn’t even play poorly. Lots of sustained zone time. Lots of fluffy, fluky Caps goals. Absolutely nothing to panic about like I know this fanbase will. Onto the next one, Leafs bros and sis’s! 🙂

  16. Volderon90

Oh well. 50 games left. They were never going to keep that pace

  17. NatureGivesAndTakes

Every other contending team in the Atlantic gained points on the Leafs tonight. If this is the beginning of a slump then they could find themselves 3rd in the division or in a wild card spot by the end of the year.

Post game show and they’re still just jizzing about ovi. Guy didn’t get a point, keep it moving. Analyze the game and show replays. Sports net is so bad, and their panel is whack. The most bearable part of a sportsnet feed is when I mute the commercials and sip my beer.

    Edit: wah

  19. CMDRShepardN7

#WE’RE GOING TO WIN THE CUP

  20. CANUSA130

There is no point to Kerfoot. He has lots of start but no finish.
