  1. Love the Lightning, super pumped for them! Not sure if the best team to win a Cup though. As a Red Wings fan (focusing on the past and future, not the present XD) I think the '02 Wings probably had the most start-studded lineup to ever win a Cup.

  2. personally i believe yes and i’m a oilers fan so i could say the 83-84 oilers so i have no bias

  3. I’m a strong believer that the Avs are going to make a run for the cup and hey cole could you make the rise of the Colorado Avalanche because if you study it is crazy how they went from being the worst team of all time to making the playoffs and now looked at as a cup contender

  4. A lot of people seem to forget about Tampa's amazing depth they had. I mean Kucherov, Stamkos, Hedman, Point, Vasilevskiy are all the main guys we talk about but the overlooked on draft day / free agent depth guys like Cirelli, Johnson, Palat, Bogosian, Sergachev, Maroon, Cernak, Gourde, Killorn, McDounagh, and Paquette is what really carried this team through out the entire playoffs. I really respect Yzerman and BriseBois for building this team the right way and finding the gems that everyone else overlooked. One of the toughest Cup runs ever, I'm glad they were able to do it this year and get it done with this core group of guys.

  5. I’ve been a bolts fan since 2011 and I’ve seen the bolts go through the ups and the downs and it still feels unreal the liightning are cup champs wouldve like to see them w the og group in 2015 but the youth in the 2020 just had a different feel to it and it felt amazing to watch such a great run. Glad to see longtime bolts like stammer and hedman get their cup GO BOLTS

  6. My pens always coke now got swept last year and this year LOST TO FRIKING 12 SEEDED MONTREAL!

  7. As a Bolts fan I think this team is the best of the salary cap era but not all time. Also 5:22 Tampa Bay is a body of water not a city.

  8. Id say Hedman would be the new captain, but Point is the new "superstar"

  9. 2002 Red Wings are the best team I've ever seen. The amount of hall of Famers on that roster is mind numbing.

  10. I love watching them this year as a lighting rays bucs gators fan

  11. As a Lightning fan i don't think they are the best team to win the Cup but they are probably like top 5. I do think though this was the hardest Cup and the loss last year really motivated them this year. They won the hardest trophy in the hardest circumstances.

  12. Once when my dad was on a business trip in Orlando, he met Pat Jablonski (the first goalie for Tampa) and I got to meet him. We got inside access to Amalie Arena and we went to the morning skate. That was crazy. When we were walking through there, I saw some people around a door, and I’m guessing it was Steven Stamkos. Anyways, we went to the morning skate and Ben Bishop was signing autographs there. I was and still am a super shy person so I didn’t get one, but the whole thing was surreal.

  13. For most of my life, I wasn't a hockey fan at all…I tried to watch on TV and couldn't understand what was happening…Of course, it was a 19" b/w at the time 50 years ago. Then I had an overnight business trip to Tampa in '93 and decided to go see a hockey game in person, for lack of anything else to do. It was their first year in the Thunderdome, playing the Pens and a couple of the only familiar hockey names I knew, Lemeiux and Jagr. It was an amazing in-person experience. I saw one other game there the next year and bought season tickets for the local ECHL team, which is where I learned just how great a spectator sport hockey can be. A few years later a new job took me to within an hour's driving of downtown Tampa and started going to a few games a year, maxing out with about eight games, including a playoff game, in the 2004 Cup year. What a thrill that first Cup was! Half season tickets the next year, but then I got old and night driving was no longer something I liked, so until lately just followed on TV. Then circumstances changed, I had money and desire for travel, and began taking trains to away games…Last three years, Madison Square Garden three times, Boston twice, and Washington, Carolina, New Jersey, LA and San Jose once each, four games this past season before the pandemic. Then watching the playoffs, feeling confident after the 5OT game, and strangely calm and collected after the final win. I guess the first one is always special, and even if it took longer than it should, the second one is simply expected for a team that's been this good for so long.

  14. Winning the cup again felt damn good. They’ve been our best team for a long time, and were always so close. Rays making the series again was also special, but we’ll win it the next series 😎 It’s weird that all 3 of our major teams are all solid now. Super bowl next, but the lightning will always be Tampa Bays team. You wouldn’t think a hockey team here in Tampa, Florida would be so loved.

  15. Tampa is not the best team ever vegas is the best team ever period don't even say they are not they are

  16. Not Even Close!! Without even including the Montreal, Islanders, and Oilers dynasties… The 2001-2002 Red Wings SMOKE Tampa ALL DAY! Datsyuk started that season… as a 4th Liner! Let that sink In…

  17. Honestly I think hedman should be captain. I fell he is the biggest leader on the team, especially after winning the conn smith trophy

  18. Hey, this is an awesome video Cole! I also became a fan in 2014 and interestingly enough ended up working for the team in 2020. To say it was incredible would be the biggest understatement. But anyways great stuff, glad my recommended page showed this!

  19. Loved the video! tampa bay lightning has been my favourite team for a little over a decade now and to see everything this team has overcome in the last few years has been such an amazing ride. I would love to see a part 2 after they just won back to back. I'm not trying to disrespect any of the amazing teams in the history of the NHL by saying it but I truly think they are among the most well constructed rosters ever. They have the best goalie in the league, best defenseman, and arguably 2/5 of the best forwards in the league and theyve managed to step it up to a new level in recent playoffs.

  20. I guess they are they probably will win 2022 cup if your in 2022 and Tampa won the cup there unstoppable this comment is in 2021 btw
