As a Canes fan I want the first black alternate in either white or red
Living in South Carolina near the border of North Carolina, alot of fans want a white storm warning jersey…remember they also have a outdoor game with new jersey also next season
We definitely want that blue whalers jersey in adidas eventually! But definitely not a hurricanes in green that would be awful ☹️
Canes fan here. I liked the OGs, the 2nd wave, and the OG black was my favorite (followed by the red one–white was just ok). I hated the red and white one's you guys disliked as well…the red was too plain, and the white was ugly. I did get that red when we let Eric Staal go so I copped his version of that on clearance for $65. When the 4th red came out I liked it–proper respect to design and principles of the OGs but with a different striping pattern (the flag design needed to come back to the jerseys–its what made them unique). Then the 2nd Black jersey was a money shot for me…the logo change, the NC outline between the flags, the proper warning flag design, the striping…loved it and its now my favorite one to wear anywhere I go. I also now own the current red and like it. When they updated the white one to the CANES design, I held off on it because I wasn't totally in on it but I had to use a discount I had a few months ago and I ordered it. Its OK to me. As far as the Whalers stuff goes, I get that is where they came from but they are in NC right now, so I am kind of tired of the Whalers stuff they are doing–but the reality is, it keeps selling like crazy. Due to some Team Shop sales, I got the OG green Whalers and the reverse retro Whalers at half price and with those purchases I am done honoring the team's Hartford past. I think if they did a new Reverse Retro the best option would be the OG black but make the jersey gray to flip the colors since we have never used gray at all. I think its design works better than our first two waves flipped for gray. I heard you guys' comment about Dundon's plans… I know one of them was phasing out the White when he came aboard and changing it to the CANES white one now. There has been talk of making the black jersey the primary home jersey and moving the red to ALT but not sure how true that is. I like us keeping all three looking distinct. I plan on going to that Stadium Series game and I will buy that jersey as well.

Where Neil and I respectfully disagree…he approves of squared off shoulder yokes whereas I feel they should be banned across every hockey league in the world for all time. (Mainly because growing up with rounded yolks, typically with a different coloured stripe outlining it or at least framing it, to me a squared off shoulder yoke in a solid block of colour makes the jersey look like a cheap knock off . Especially if it's just a white block on a dark jersey.)

I’m kinda tired of Carolina using Hartford for their retros. I’m ready for something new!
Neil, it's funny that you talk about Carolina fans not wanting anymore Whalers jerseys. Well, growing up in Connecticut and being a big Whalers fan having gone to many games back in the day , many Whalers fans get upset even more so that the Hurricanes have even used the Whalers logo and colors. They argue that the only reason the Hurricanes are wearing them is to make money off it and that they should leave the logos and colors to "us" Whalers fans here in Connecticut. If you ever want to check it out, I run the Hartford Whalers Booster Club page on Facebook (yes we still have a booster club) and every time I post anything about Carolina wearing Whaler related uniforms, I get multiple comments with people generally pissed off that they are doing that.
The issue with saying Carolina is in good graces with Whalers fans is they spent 25 years pretending to be an expansion team completely ignoring their history, un-retired all the Whalers numbers, and only brought back the Whalers jerseys when they realized they could make money off it. It was never anything more than a cash grab that never should've happened in the first place.
As a Carolina fan, I want to see the 06' home jersey with the old alternate logo or the old alternate jersey with the main logo. Loved those style of jerseys
I feel the Hurricanes need a whole rebrand, I mean it’s kinda cool with the flag logo but it isn’t interesting. An they did Whalers so much, already. At this point they should just use their current logo and uniform with the Whalers colours

After months, and I mean months of searching for the 2017-19 Adidas away jersey, I found a blank first year run size 52 on Sideline Swaps. Outside of the previous Arizona away, the hardest to find imo (in Adidas that is)
