Question is when is Comrie coming back because UPL certainly isnt an NHL caliber goalie as he has the weakest glove hand Ive ever seen .
Id be ok with Anderson and Comrie to finish the season but please send UPL back to the AHL .
Trade wise do you take on a HUGE salary and term and look at Jack Campbell from Edmonton? No thanks. Id be ok with James Reimer.

Should have traded for someone like Vanecek, who they had an opportunity to get before the expansion draft and again before he was traded to Jersey (2nd&3rd for Vanecek&2nd). I'm not sure teams are going to trade goalies out mid-season. At least not until closer to the deadline. So many injuries in the last couple of years.
Can you imagine where this team would be with a lower GAA%? Our D is still developing. we play fast and uptempo, scoring a lot off the rush and giving up a lot off the rush, Our goalie core is still developing. We have 41 y/o Anderson as a perennial stopgap. UPL needs to find his confidence. We need some D pairings for stay-at-home to complement the offensive d-men. We have that with Matias. but lack it elsewhere. We also lack depth in those positions
I have been commenting the goalie issue over the last 4 years. Craig Anderson has overperformed at times and bailed the Sabres out. Same goes for Ullmark. I cant understand why the Sabres didnt really lock Ullmark in for 5 years? He is currently the best goalie in the entire NHL and the Sabres let him walk. The same goes for NOT drafting Jesper Wallstedt or Sebastian Cossa instead of picking Isak Rosen. I am sure that Rosen is a great kid but he is many years away from the NHL.
It seems like everybody is high on GM KA but I think he really screwed up NOT getting a solid starter. Just look at the last few years. Carter Hutton, Aaron Dell, Tokarski, Houser, Subban, Johanson, and Anderson. Now Comrie. Are those the names you expect to carry the team to a playoff? Hell no! I wish someone inside the Sabres management will sober up and stumble over a goalie spredsheet and a phone. It would be nice to start a season with a seasoned goalie (and No Anderson is not an option). Before we start throwing the money on the youngsters I would def hire a real stud. When I grew up, you built the team from the goalie and out, not from the forwards and in.
Why in the hell does no one talk about bringing up Micheal Houser? Tell my last breath id wager that dude would stack wins with this team. He looked so so so good when he was up with us. Cool and calm. Loved his game.
John Gibson from Anaheim is who they need. John Gibson needs a change of scenery and could once again be really good. If your going for a goalie might as well make a big splash instead of career backups like Reimer, Stalock, etc.
Justice for Malcolm Subban. BTW, I am a VGK from Buffalo so I am definitely biased. I think Vegas has expendable goalies in Michael Hutchinson and Lauren Brossoit.
No ! ! We don’t need to give up any draft capital to acquire another goalie. We have Devon Levi coming up. Comrie will be back this year.
What needs to be done first is a Shored up is Defense. This team needs Jake Chyckrun to solidify the top 4. U can talk about his injuries all you want but look at guys like Joki and Lybushkin?. But look at Jake and Bush when they are in the lineup they make impacts. Guys like Bryson Pilut and Klague even tho Klague plays sound defensively they are all AHLers ok. As much as id like to get a better goalie its just not going to happen they are going to let UPL show what he can show which will setup the show for next year depending on what haplens with both Portillo and Levi. Whos signing and whos not. Will those young guns need time to develop in the AHL or can they make the jump quick and get some solidarity up in tbe Bigs. Too many questions right now and then what to do with Comrie when he comes back. Whatever they need to do they need ti figure it out fast as these kids go by everywhere putting up numbers
Is it really that big of deal if Sabres miss the playoffs? So long as the young guys which pretty much all of them are, continue to grow then not getting to the playoffs this year wouldn't be the end of the world for this team.
Yes agree 💯 our goaltending is AHL level at best. We are a goalie away from being a playoff team. I believe EC is a soild back up

If the plan of Granato is to wait for Levi, I'm just scared they miss the best years of Tuch, Thomer, Dahlin, Cozens etc, those guys are ready to win now and see playoff
I've listen to your vid two times and can't agree more with you on everything you said. The best offensive team can't miss the playoff, they are too close to don't make the move
If Anderson was ten years younger we would be in the playoffs. Maybe we should up his games? I know he's older but just test it out if he can't then we can back off a bit
I’m so sick of seeing all these people jump right to the goalies. I see this every day. This is short sighted criticism. The Sabres overwhelming primary problem is TEAM DEFENSE. All the stats show it. The horrible passes and turnovers in our own zone, the breakaways, 2 on 1s. Everyone wants to see a Hasek or Miller come save the day and it’s not going to happen. If we don’t learn how to defend we will get smoked in the playoffs. We have to hit more too.
We should NOT trade for a goalie unless it’s dirt cheap. We have to be patient and trust Adams’ plan. All these young guns are going to be even better in 1-3 years. We have more 1st rounders coming up and we are going to have all this money saved. Plus we have contracts to secure. If the development process fails we will be in a better place to add a goalie.
We want to win the Stanley cup! Not make desperate decisions that will get us knocked out of the first round and set ourselves back with bad financial moves. That’s where rebuilds die.

You can't blame the goalie when the team in front of them are defensively lackluster at best. Yes they can score and are one of best offenses. They rank very low in all defensive stats.
Clone Domonic Hasek common man.
They can trade for Ken Dryden 2.0 and it won't matter until Bryson is strictly a 3rd Pairing D-man and names like Fitzgerald and Pilut (getting better but that's a low bar) aren't out there all the time due to continuing injury woes to 46 and 10.
Need DEFENSE and not some puck-mover like Chychrun who scores 40 pts and goes minus-25. Samuelsson has been a huge find for this building team. Find another one of him and Holy Smokes you've hit the tilt-bingo-jackpot.
I think our goalies could be better, however, the weakest link on this team is also one of the cheapest and easiest to fix. Our #6 & #7 blue liners are Pilut and Bryson. They're both liabilities on the ice who at bare minimum are not ready nor sized for the NHL game, and the Sabres have nobody short of Johnson of any serious value coming up. We need a couple of reliable stay-at-home guys w/ at least some size, 6'2" 220lbs ideally, responsible w/ the puck in pressure situations
We're not gonna find better goaltending for anything we can afford and it could screw up our prospect pipeline as UPL is flashing at times (still clearly needs more development though) and Levi sounded like he plans to stick around
