  1. The defence loves to shoot themselves in the foot on a nightly basis. The Oilers really miss Duncan Keith more then they think, hes far from his prime but at least he knew where to put the puck to give the forwards success. It's time for Holland to go all in and get a real defencemen otherwise 97 and 29 might actually move on.

  2. Does Connor McDavid still win the Hart Trophy if Edmonton happens to miss the playoffs?

  3. Trevor Zegras being able to do the michigan isn't going to help his team win games why would you even bring that up you clown

  4. They were obliterated in every single column of the game except scoring which was thanks to garbage defence, that was virtually a >1% chance of them winning and it happened while being triple outshot and pressured with a 3rd string goalie, the Oilers have also beaten many of the best teams in the league already this year such as Carolina, Tampa, etc so this is really some overdramatic garbage

  5. Either McDavid or Draisaitl should come and play with Kaprizov and Zuccarello in Minnesota once they’re through cap hell

  6. McDavid is team captain. He should tell the guys to play team defence. I think the guys will listen to him.

  7. Mark this post. Conner and Leon will both be asking in the $18M to $20M range x 8, if they continue to post these numbers right up to contract renewal time. A) they're going to want to make up for lost revenue for services rendered 2) NHL cap will have increased 3) inflation 4) having to stomach the sight of Nurse's contract for the next 3 years.

  8. I will say it again…the #1 problem with the edmonton oilers is the ATTITUDE OF DRAISATL FIRST FOLLOWED BY MCDAVID.BOTH THROW HISSYFITS . Watch them in interviews .Draisatl touches his hair and face like 1 million times in every interview like some primadona and mcdavid is like a robot in front of the media.ITs like the 2 stooges…I dont care if your the most talented player in the world you wont get far if you have a attitude problem PERIOD.

  9. Oilers one of the worst run organizations. Even with all those gifted draft picks.

  10. they might be missing Keith …but keep in mind if he stayed that would mean no Evander Kane probably

  11. The oilers depend on their pp way to much for offense. If you look at their even strength numbers they're very mediocre. Combine that with poor team defense and inconsistent goaltending you get these oilers. A middle of the pack team.

  12. Holland just hasn't done it. Everyone was saying we need work on the defence, but he decided to LTIR Smith and get Cambell who is playing like a big budget backup right now. We need defence, we've always needed better defence. Makes you miss Pronger. 😛

  13. if ken hollan loses these players. im throwing my jersey on the ice an stop watching them

  14. The Oilers are paying 44% of their cap to 4 players, and you wonder why they can't put a complete team together? Players like Mcdavid, if they really want to win cups, have to play for significantly less than they're worth. That means leaving 3-4 million on the table every year, so you can sign better talent. Would they be doing better if they had Ullmark instead of Campbell? Yeah, but goaltending isn't their only problem. Teams can't win paying half the cap to 4-5 players. Mcdavid is going to be a great player either way. The question is if he will choose 40+ million extra in career earnings over multiple championships. I don't know what I would do, because I'll never be faced with such a hard choice, just saying that is the dilemma.

  15. The defence has been the main issue. When your so called top d-man makes 9.25 million just for making mistakes, that’s a clear problem. Wouldn’t be surprised if he gets scratched for the rest of the season

  16. This isn't a problem of this season only. More depth, better defense, goal tending. Issues for the Oilers since #97 arrived.

  17. Do you think mcdavid or draisaitl would wanna move from each other / Edmonton for a few million extra a year? I think they're staying

I don't think they would… I think they wanna stay in Edmonton and most importantly together

  18. The Oilers have the same problem that the Leafs do just not on as grand of a scale. Too many big contracts, not enough quality.

  19. A Canucks fan calling the pot black, Oilers will be 2nd in division while your Canucks are well out of it and in a rebuild by April. Worry about your own team bud
