A trade is not going to fix this problem for the Oilers. When Woodcroft became coach last year, the players listened eagerly to his input and plans. Now it seems like the forwards no longer back check the way that he wants and the defense no longer plays their position properly and wanders around their defensive zone like they're at a family skate. … Don't get me wrong, this is not Woodcroft's doing – it is the players becoming complacent or lazy.

At some point, Woodcroft needs to make a tough decision and make Bouchard a healthy scratch. His multiple and continuous mistakes are costing the Oilers' games. Sit him for a game or two, let him watch the game from the box will be helpful in a long term.
There has been a lot of questions on defense since Larson left. Rusty and Keith were good last year. This year has been a mess to be polite. Too many offensive and not enough tough defensive D men .Demers is good insurance . As said here maybe Nurse needs to play forward as he seems bored and asleep on defence. Bouch is still a rookie and his mistakes are going to happen. The 9 mil dud should not get the same leeway . Keep the vids rolling.
Doesn’t look very good does it. If they can maintain 500 hockey without injuries until Kane is back then I think we’ll be ok.
