Est-ce que c’est l’année de l’évasion des chytils, et si oui, allons-nous lui donner un gros contrat ou un autre contrat relais ?

I’d try to extend him long term, were I in Drury’s situation. If he gets a bridge deal and pops off, we’re fucked.

We can’t afford a fat contract with the cap only going up $1 million. I would expect very short term bridge deals for Chytil, Laf, and Miller with a behind the scenes understanding that their paydays will come when we have more flexibility. Either that or they will be traded/offer sheeted.

We cant afford more than a long term (save aav) or bridge deal because bettman sucks and cant do shit about this low ass cap.

We will have to dump salary in order to afford these players and the only ones available to trade are goody and kreider in ’24 or we have to let players walk for cheaper ones. Like i feel like lindy wont stay a ranger due to cost

Chytil just turned 23 and is an RFA for the next five years. Bridge deal him now for three years at 4.5M per. If he pops he pops, but that’s a problem down the line when the cap has gone up and the Rangers should have the ability/option to get out from under Kreider, Goodrow’s and Trouba’s contracts.

The Devils took a big risk with that Hughes contract. It’s paying off for them but the Rangers shouldn’t gamble that it will happen with Chytil. Give him a fair bridge deal then in three years they can reevaluate and pay him if it’s working out or trade him if it’s not.
