I truly feel so, so bad for him. You know he wanted nothing else other than to show up and help the team win this year…
Not sure what he needs, but just putting him out there doesn’t seem to be helping.

Expected stats are literally made up assumptions. They’re not comparisons or even facts.
Why isn’t the vezina given to the expected goals against differential winner?
Why isn’t the rocket given to the expected goals scored winner?
Is Elvis STRUGGLING, absolutely. He may never get back to Latvian super goalie of the Olympics. But to pretend he’s just dogwater while citing literal made up assumptions is just silly. Every slot shot is not the same. But it’s counted the same. Why? Shit stats use shit data, and this data is the worst for anyone whose every actually played.
There has to be something the team could do for him rather than letting him flail and fail every four games. The issue is between his ears. Players’ Assistance Program? Although I imagine getting an Eastern European man to agree to that would be like pulling teeth.
I hate when stats are extrapolated to conclusions they don’t necessarily prove. Especially hockey statistics which are absolutely not reliable predictors of nearly anything. Elvis is definitely having a terrible year but taking goals saved above expected and saying it’s the only stat relevant to best and worst goalies is so dumb
Might be unpopular, but I think the best thing for Elvis is a scenery change. He needs a refresh and I don’t think he can really get that reset here. The cannon, his house, just Ohio in general, I can’t imagine the strain on his mental health. Truly wish him the best.
He’s been awful this season but with the injuries to defensemen and the scheme Larsen runs I don’t think any goalie would be good

I was downvoted to oblivion for posting this a week or so ago. This subreddit refuses to think we can be critical of anyone. Everyone just has to be happy we have a team and it isn’t the early 2000s.
