    From the article:

    * *If you’re the Blackhawks, how high is your asking price? A first-round pick would almost certainly be part of the package. After that, it gets interesting.*

    * *Would the Rangers part ways with K’Andre Miller or Braden Schneider? Doubtful. What about Filip Chytil, Kaapo Kakko or Alexis Lafreniere? That’s where the conversation would probably go next, and that’s where it should go next. Multiple league scouts I spoke to weren’t very high on Vitali Kravtsov, so I don’t think he’d be a prospect the Blackhawks would get overly excited about.*

**FWIW**: I don’t really want Kane, just posting for the discussion/everyone’s thoughts.

Is Kane a one year rental? If so, there is a 0.0% chance any of those players go unless Drury knows for certain Chytl will be too expensive to resign

Key, chytil, laf, kakko are all untouchable for an expiring UFA. Not Othmann either.

    Vitali? I’d trade.
    First rounder? You betcha.

People i’d hate to lose but will accept trading?

    Brett Berard, Cullyle, Pajuniemi….

But also like, it will take more to get them to take Kane + salary, or include a third team for more salary retention.

I would love to see patty Kane in blue but not at the cost of our future

It feels like Eric staal vibes. Dude didn’t do shit for us

Arent we about to be in cap hell? How could we even afford him even with retention?

  5. Stop trying to make Kane to the rangers a thing it’s not a thing (not you in particular op)

It would look like an overpay. Kane is a 34-year-old winger on an expiring contract. He has four goals. I don’t care what he’s accomplished in his career—I care about his current trajectory and his cost. And both of those greatly concern me.

The Rangers would be nuts to give any of the above-mentioned players for a rental—especially when they’re finally starting to make a difference. They’re all a major part of this 7-game winning streak.

Hawks fans will say he’s Patrick Kane, so they should get a top young player in return. But he’s just gonna walk after a few months, so the most they’d get out of me is a first and a warm body.

I guess I just don’t really want the guy. I’d rather the kids keep growing.

It depends on whether or not Chicago will have to retain salary. Kane’s contract expires at the end of this season. Hopefully Drury can build up capspace if he plans on trading for Kane.

2024 second round pick. He gets to decide where he wants to go or if he wants to go

    No thanks give me Tarasenko

“They have so many young players on their roster, most of whom are underperforming and could use a change of scenery”

Most. Lmao. Classic yahoo sports not actually following the sport they write about.

Who cares? He isn’t putting up points – why would that suddenly change?

A mistake is what it would look like.

Patrick Kane is like Beetlejuice. Stop saying his name!

Kane would have been a great idea when Bread first got to the Rangers. Now, no, just retire as a Hawk.
